Great little patio...awesome staff!

Posted Nov 1, 2015
Cons: not charging twice
I had already paid for my hotel stay on expedia and when I checked in I was double charged, which really sucked. When I said something to the front desk, they said there was nothing they could do about it. When I checked out, Alyssa at the front desk was amazing and helped me to get the hold charges off my card! Great customer service by her. Also in the conference I attended, the food was top notch. Overall a great stay!

Close to DU

Posted Oct 21, 2015
The hotel has great amenities and is reasonably close to the DU campus where we were visiting our son over Homecoming weekend. The staff was awesome and met our every need. The facilities are great and our daughter enjoyed the workout facility. Thanks for the great stay. We will be back in the Spring.

fairly nice hotel; room dirty and outdated

Posted Oct 19, 2015
Pros: Starbucks in the lobby.
Cons: clean room. housekeeping staff to have better customer service.
Location: there was nothing nearby.
Was there for a conference. Couldn't get room temperature to regulate-was too hot or too cold. The room was not clean, the blow dyer didn't work, and the previous guests trays were sitting in the hallway outside of my door the first night. The worst part of my experience was that housekeeping would try to enter the room without announcing themselves. There was a knock and before I could answer they were sliding their card to enter. Thankfully I had the extra lock in place because the first time they scared me. At check-in, I was told I have a mountain view room. Far from true-I had to stand in the corner of the room to see a glimpse of the mountains off in the distance. If I had been traveling for vacation I would have been anger at the deception of that "mountain view room" statement.

CanJam 2015 @ Marriott Tech Center

Posted Oct 6, 2015
Pros: Polite staff; hotel hosted a fun event.
Cons: dirty coffee maker in the room; neighbors very easy to hear; painfully slow elevators.
Location: CanJam
My say at Marriott Tech Center during CanJam 2015 was, in a word, OK. Nothing really stood out as particularly excellent. The staff was friendly. The elevators were slow - quite annoying when the hotel is hosting a large event), The room was tidy, though notably the coffee maker in the room was disgustingly crusty and the small balcony floor was not the cleanest, but the room did have a balcony and a coffee maker! The bed was comfortable and the sheets were nice enough, though beware if you do not like soft pillows (I do not), go ahead and get a few extras. The neighbors are easy to hear if they get loud. The room was comfortable enough during the late evenings, though it didn't get THAT much use. Basic shower products were included, as expected: shampoo, conditioner, soap. Room service was quick and polite during my night working in the room when I didn't have time to run out and grab dinner. Overall good, though nothing extravagant. I would have chosen another location if it were not for the CanJam event being held at the hotel.

Nice with a few inconveniences

Posted Sep 28, 2015
It was a nice stay except for the power outage for half an hour at about 1 a.m., no place to hang the towels, water damage by the inroom fire springler and roaring freeway noise by the pool. But still a nice stay for the money. Plus is a starbucks in the house, nice inside balcony with view of the inside courtyard/ bar/ eating area.

The staff was amazing. Allowed 10am check in and was always one step ahead of anticipating my travel needs.

very well kept, clean, comfy beds

Posted Sep 14, 2015
The hotel grounds ar very secure, and the hotel its self is very clean and well kept, and just a block from the route 25 highway entrance. The staff was so kind and accomodating. Comfortable and very clean rooms (would stay again and I am an OCD clean freak). Just wish there was furniture on our balcony! Great job Marriott !

Pay the price for what?

Posted Sep 12, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Most of the hotel needs upgrade
Location: Location was okay
My wife and I stayed for 3 nights as a convience to our grand childrens location. Our stay was bad with a convention of fur people that stayed the same length of time. No class to those folks. Controlled parking spots were not available at night do to all the strangers visiting. Tech Center wanted us to pay for parking that wasn't there. The card reader, to let us in the parking lot, worked 50% of the time. The WiFi worked fine although Tech Center wanted us to pay for features that Best Western includes. We will not stay in Marriott hotels again. We put on 8,000 miles on our summer road trip and found that our stay in the Denver Marriott was the worst of 11 different hotels/Motels.

Not what I expected for a Marriott

Posted Sep 7, 2015
We picked this hotel because we wanted a nice experience but without a downtown hotel price. We figured choosing a Marriott would be a safe bet and even though it's out in Denver tech center, it's a short walk from the light rail. The staff was very friendly and efficient and the room was clean but the ownership of this particular hotel has put off a remodel for far too long. While the lobby appears impressive at first glance, you can quickly see how shabby and off-trend it is. When we got off the third floor landing there was an unpleasant, musty smell. And when we took showers there was no water pressure and ocassionally the water would change from tepid to scalding. THAT was not fun!
