Price reflects quality

Posted Mar 27, 2017
This hotel does have some good and bad about it. The good is that the beds were very comfortable, the location was amazing for any downtown events your plan on attending, and it had a pretty great breakfast. The bad was that it was very loud and hard to sleep with all the kids (teenagers) being loud late into the night, our whole floor stunk of marijuana the whole visit, and then hotel is in some desperate need of renovation so it looks like you are in a scary movie.

Concert Night

Posted Mar 27, 2017
I stayed a single night at the Ramada. The room was cozy, included the basic stuff like a tv, working remote, little fridge, but no microwave. There was a noisy vent/fan in the bathroom that kept my friend up a bit. I knock out easily so it wasn't a big problem. The issue was that the wifi wasn't working. Normally that'd be fine, but I came from out of state with bad/no cell service, so I needed wifi for directions. I drove 4 hours out of state, crossing through two states, so I had absolutely no idea how to get anywhere. I went home the day after, since I didn't want to risk getting lost. It's a good hotel, really. A bit pricey but maybe that's because it's in Denver? I chose it because it was so close to the Pepsi center, where the concert I came to town for was located. Not a bad stay at all, just a little inconvenient with no wifi.

Terrible room, wouldn't use again.

Posted Mar 26, 2017
the room was ok for the most part. I was told that I must have gotten a "bad room." And if you think that this is just the Ramada, it's not. The Ramada and Motel 8 are the same building in this instance. So here we're the negatives from my stay. The main door was badly cracked where the latch is leading me to believe that it had been kicked in. The carpet on the baseboard near the bathroom was ripped, the phone didn't work, the office chair had a missing wheel (found that out after sitting down and slamming my head against the wall), the refrigerator had some kind of nasty goo in it, the bathroom had bad water damage and rust on the ceiling, and the hair dryer had a melted cord with an exposed electrical wire. The best part of the stay was when I woke up... The heater didn't work at all, and the bath tub didn't drain. I'm sure I just got "the bad room" though... Or, how about the staff isn't paying attention to the needs and safety of the guests? I was offered a 10% discount for my "troubles." If you're looking for a cheap hotel, use this one or the Super 8 that is incorporated into it. If you don't want the possibility of going through what I did, pick a better hotel.

Many maintenance issues.

Posted Mar 14, 2017
Wifi did not work. We were told that a new box had been ordered, but had not arrived. The coffee pot was missing a part and the room was cold. The next day a small space heater was provided. The hair dryer did not work and they were unable to find a replacement. Only plastic forks were available at the breakfast bar.

Basic accommodations.

Posted Mar 13, 2017
Pros: Staff are good and friendly, breakfast is genuinely good and ample (they have ordered cooked to order omelets), shuttle to downtown is convenient.
Cons: Rooms are dated, need refreshed, internet needs an update.
Location: Downtown and convention center are a shuttle ride away. Amusement park within walking distance.
Staff are excellent and service oriented. The breakfast is the high point of the property services. Internet is intermittent at best. The property is "tired", but apparently under systematic renovation.

Last minute decision to stay in downtown Denver

Posted Mar 10, 2017
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Cleanliness and keeping their customers needs in mind versus their bottom line. Provide the services you advertise.
Location: Colorado Convention Center
I grabbed this hotel as it was inexpensive and near the Colorado Convention Center. I won't do this again. The bathroom was not cleaned. I will not get into details as to how I know. The second floor foyer was filled with construction materials that looked like they permanently reside there. The internet was down and the staff said the owner has known about it for two weeks and is just not bothering to buy a new router. It dampened my ability to get work done. The curtains were falling off the tracks. Overall dirty, worn out feel. The bright spot was the staff who were apologetic and wanted to try to help.

Good location, close to downtown. A bit of a sketchy neighborhood. Heat didn't work, which would have been awful if the weather had been colder. Hotel staff provided two space heater that did the trick. Continental breakfast was nice, and hotel provided just what we needed it to- a place to sleep.
