Okay, inexpensive hotel.

Posted Nov 26, 2016
Super close to the train and about every 30 or so minutes which isn't bad, except for the train whistle. I found trash in the room that should have been found by housekeeping. The hvac was the worst - I had the heat set around 78, and apparently once that temp is reached, the furnace kicks out cold air. Because of that, the furnace never stopped. I was able to check in around 8am, which was convenient. The gym was amazing - lots of commercial gym quality machines, both weight and cardio.

Quick overnight stay in Denver

Excellent staff, professional and friendly. Beautiful view. Fun pool. Too bad so close to the train track, a bit noisy.

Clean, classy rooms. Balcony is nice for fresh air

Posted Nov 24, 2016
This hotel is in a strange location, not too bad. I like being away from Pena Blvd, and closer to downtown. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beds are a bit firm, but have very nice bedding. I slept well. They provide ear plugs. I bring my own-you might need them at any hotel near there, or at gateway park-the traffic is one thing, but the trains are honking(quite loud)all night. I'm used to ear plugs-but that's an issue here. The staff is wonderful, including management. Don't pay for parking-there's plenty of street parking. Overall, I had a really nice stay. I'll stay here again for sure!

Dear Becca, Thank you for taking the time to share a review with us following your stay in Denver. We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your visit, however, we do apologize for the temporary issue with the noise from the railroad. The Federal Railroad Administration is currently performing mandatory testing in the area, which has caused some residual noise effects. We are working closely with the FRA and the RTD associations, and the area is scheduled to be deemed a quiet zone in the near future. We are glad to hear you plan to return, and look forward to having you back again very soon! Brian Lenfestey General Manager

great experience and can't wait to return

Pros: nice pool and jacuzzi.
Cons: Whatever could be better, the marriott is already working on it.
Location: you need a car, but there are plenty of restaurants and sites in Denver.
The staff was pleasant. the room was clean and nice and with many comfort adding details. The view is of the mountain and downtown. This is my pick for place to stay in Denver.

Clump of human hair hanging from fire sprinkler..

Posted Oct 25, 2016
Location: Run down surroundings. Nice local brewery past the planned parenthood complex next door..
Looks like all the money was spent on the lobby. As I checked in a man exclaimed how the lady out front was still waiting on local police because she was robbed... Was handed my key and told to go to the room. Key didn't work because she hadn't activated it. Hobos and smell of weed all around property. Parking garage was broken following morning so got to wait 30 min as they tried to lift the gate. Overpriced ripoff of a hotel with impersonal staff.

Pros: Meeting facilities were good and were well staffed.
Cons: Horrible location and surroundings.
Booked a room with a balcony. Did not get a room with a balcony. Was told by front desk they were all sold out and since I had gotten a discounted rate from Expedia I was bumped down to the non balcony room.

While we’re glad our meeting facilities impressed, we regret you did not enjoy a stay in the room you were originally hoping for. Unfortunately, with third party booking, room requests are not guaranteed, but we hope your next stay with us is everything you’re hoping for. Thank you for your input.

Pros: Easy to find
Cons: Noise of train
Location: Not much to do around the area

Thank you for the insight on your stay. We’d like to mention that we offer two happy hours daily from 4 PM – 6 PM and 11 PM – 12 AM. Train noise will be greatly reduced once railroad testing is completed in our area, so we hope you’ll give the Renaissance Denver Hotel another chance in the future.

Great for meetings & conferences

Posted Sep 16, 2016
Pros: Open balconies are a nice touch.
Cons: Charging for WiFi is a pet peeve not limited to this hotel.
Location: Midway between airport and downtown with good access to both and plenty of nearby options, too. Taxi stand at hotel for quick service most times.
Excellent meeting facility with good catering and attentive staff. Frequent train whistles nearby can be nostalgic, romantic, or annoying, depending on your attitude, but they do have earplugs in the room for light sleepers.

Very nice and comfy. Shopping strip directly in front. Would definitely try to stay there again if I return to Denver.
