I enjoyed the place, it was a great room, at a highway service centre so fuel, food and travel all very easy to do. I personally didn’t not see if rooms are on the ground level or not, which given the apparent lack of an elevator could mean that disabled or overweight may struggle. However I would be surprised if there isn’t ground floor rooms. I simply didn’t see them.

Not well connected on google maps, which gives you ridiculously long ways to get places, going 5 miles up the motorway before double-backing down again. It was only because the receptionist told us a back way that we didn't drive 9 miles out of the way to get somewhere.

Bed was comfortable
Bed nice and comfortable and clean. Nice larger TV than you often get in your room. Quiet as it was on the M1. Didn’t do a breakfast.

Northbound services - Don't get confused
We stayed here overnight as a stop off to break up a long journey and it was perfect for that. It was North bound and we were heading south so we had to turn around at the next junction and come back but it wasn't far and didn't take long. Don't get confused by the sign at the Southbound service exit, we almost came off there but there is no Days Inn there! Reception staff were friendly, check in easy and check out simply drop keys in a box. Room was clean but basic, beds were comfy enough for a one night stay. We could hear other guests from our room, coughing and talking then I was awoken by two alarms. For the price though, we expected basic. We were surprised by the lack of breakfast options at the services, but we did leave quite early. Some cafe places didn't open until 9am.

Great basic place to stay
It was ok, bit run down but everything was clean and staff on reception were lovely. This is second time to stay here and would stay again. Just a basic room with a good pressured shower and good location.

Smelly and filthy room, very dirty, window strip was broken, not feeling safe. Mattress is so unforgettable to sleep on. Staff is nice and friendly, but the facility really need some update.

Bed was comfortable bathroom clean with warm shower but NO television. There was a notice on the tv when you turned it on saying'weak signal or check aerial connection' and the receptionist kept fobbing me off with 'an engineer is in the loft trying to reset it' and as always never enough tea,coffee,milk and sugar.

Amazing
We booked this Hotel for our Wedding- One for myself and brides maids to get ready in and for myself and my husband to stay in after our wedding. Can I just say the staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. No request was too much to ask, all the staff was super friendly, compassionate and very welcoming. I cannot recommend them enough. To the staff that was on shift during our stay, Thankyou so much

Very quiet to say that it’s so close to the motorway. Convenient and easy. Pleasant staff. Our room was a little tired and could do with a deep clean but comfortable. We were in the disable room and the taps were impossible to turn on and off especially the cold tap and the beds were very soft. Saying that we would definitely stay again if in the area. Thanks.

Good stop over
Used as a stop off from London to Durham, easy to find and right next door to the northbound services at junction 28/29 which have Costa, Spar, McDonalds & Smiths. Our triple room was a very good size though in need of a refurb as the bathroom and carpet were past their best. Beds were comfy, the wifi worked and it was very quiet in our room. We had a lovely friendly welcome from the staff and I would definitely stay here again.

Room was pleasant but let down by two failing. The cold water tap at wash basin could not be turned on to give more than a dribble. The kettle heated up once but would not switch on again. I shall likely not book again.

Requested a late check out at time of booking and when checked in, no acknowledgment when booked, and at check in was told ask in morning. This defeated the purpose of late check out, so I got up in the morning went to find a staff member told be told this should’ve been requested last night, furious was an understatement, and to top it off they still charged the late checkout £10 fee. Also only 2 of 4 lights worked in the room. I understand the chain is basic, and this generally is suitable for what are usually a bed for sleep as we are working bizarre hours, but this was lower than basic.

It was the most horrible stay EVER. we planned to stay the night but emptied the place in less than an hour after having to pay early check in charges as well. What s shameful seedy place. Thre was no shower gel in the shower and the single bed had an old bare mattress. Days inn should be ashamed

It’s a basic hotel but it serves its purpose. Only downsides are there are no refreshments, apart from room kettle and drink, on site. You have to go to the service area next door. Access is only road legally available from the northbound carriageway which is far from satisfactory. No horrors here. The staff are more than friendly and helpful.

Friendly place
Its was a very pleasant and quiet stay the room was clean and warm. My friend's room was cold though as the radiator wasnt working properly. The staff was very helpful and greeted us with a warm and friendly smile

Convenient stopover
Warm and comfortable room near reception, with parking almost directly outside. Can't say fairer than that for a stopover on a long car trip on a chilly December day! Always good to minimise the mileage by staying alongside the motorway.
