Hotel was clean, comfortable and catered for allPosted Aug 2, 2015
The room was very comfortable. The hotel is well situated for the city centre. It was our first time in Derby and we will visit again.

really enjoyed the stay, slept well good breakfast. Well worth the price I paid (£55) per night. Perfect for what we needed. Only downside was inability to unload the car outside easily.

Convenient city centre hotelPosted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Convenient for our needs. Helpful staff.
Cons: My son would say the rooms could be cleaner in certain areas ie dust on top of tele.
Location: City centre next to river, bus station and Crown court.
We stayed for 5 nights. Our room was clean and a good size, and the bed comfortable. My adult son said his room could have been cleaner and my father-in-law said the chambermaid took about 5 minutes to clean the bathroom, make the bed and refill the tea/coffee. So in 3 adjoining rooms we had different experiences, presumably with the same chambermaid? Breakfast was good with enough variety to suit most tastes. The staff in the restaurant were very helpful. The reception staff were also good, For the tariff we paid, which included breakfast, I was quite satisfied with the hotel.

Lovely roomPosted Jul 7, 2015 on Hotels
The room was lovely. Bed not as big as I expected. Looked more of a double than a queen?. However I didn't say anything. Shower was lovely. Breakfast was beautifully laid laid out. No one was on top of each other trying to get breakfast. It was easily accessible. Lady was cleaning up promptly behind people. Would stay again . Hotel a bit confusing to find your way around though.

Scary, smelly and substandard.Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: The view from the breakfast room.
Cons: Check in, staff, room odour, provide larger towels.
Location: Would not recommend location to a lone woman traveller or people that do not expect to walk from a car park in less than salubrious surroundings.
Having previously checked the safety and location, as I was a woman travelling alone I was totally dissatisfied, it was an uncomfortable and unpleasant not to be repeated experience. Having parked in a local multi storey you have to walk near to the bus station and dual carriageway to get to the hotel, once there the area is boarded and looks abandoned. Reception is on the fourth floor and the lift only works with a room key to unlock it. There were no staff on reception and when she appeared, after a wait she was in an ill fitting uniform and looked unkempt. I had to get the key unlocked again as it wouldn't operate the lift and I was stuck inside with another guest who used his key. Once in the room, it was clean, although had a strange odour. All in all it was not up to the Hilton brand, even their value brand. I would not recommend or stay there again.

Great bedsPosted Jun 22, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed there during the Download Festival. Pretty convenient since the hotel is right next to the bus station. The shopping center Intu Derby is also just a few minutes away. Great beds to sleep in. I slept like a child. The only problem is that the shower was clogged when we got there.
