Smallest double room we've ever seen!Posted May 3, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: The beds (though small) were comfy and the pillows were great. The continental breakfast was well prepared, and there were a lot of choices.
Cons: It's just plain due for a remodel. The laundry could use a lot less bleach.
Location: It was close to the interstate, so it was convenient that way. There is a tourist attraction close by, and there were things going on in the city.
The room was TINY. With the alarm clock and lamp on the shared bedside table, there isn't any room left to put your eyeglasses. It was clean, alright. There was so much chlorine residue in the sheets that my legs broke out. You could see daylight around the door, and there can't be much in the way of soundproofing. We heard kids running up and down the hall at all hours, and I don't even want to know what the folks in the room above us were doing all night long. The lobby area smelled like there was a mold issue happening. Didn't smell it in the room, though, thanks to the chlorine overload. The pool was ok...but only five feet at its deepest point. It was also a little hard to find. The trees have grown up to hide it from view, and you had to go through the parking lots of a large, busy restaurant and another motel to get back to it.

Des Moines StopoverPosted Apr 4, 2016 on Hotels
The hotel is extremely hard to find; had to drive through a restaurant parking lot to get to it, there were no signs to enter. Front desk recommended a great pizza place for delivery, Northern Lights Pizza, which was very good and tasty. The breakfast is overrated, waffles were the only hot food choice. Coffee was good, and the milk was ice cold, which I like.

In town for NCAA tournamentPosted Mar 22, 2016 on Hotels
Room was nice and quiet. Right off of the interstate. Was in town for the NCAA tournament. Enjoyed my time staying there. James is awesome! Great front desk person

Convenient to I 35.Posted Mar 1, 2016
Pros: Nice pool. Nice bathrooms. Convenient to I 35
Cons: The quality of the breakfast could be easily improved, and should be better for a motel in this price slot. Clean the rooms better. Squeaky hallway
Location: Iowa Living Farms adjacent, but closed in winter.
Nice facility - newer. 3rd floor hallways had very squeaky floors - surprising. Not a lot of choices for food nearby. Hotel breakfast was just OK. A turnoff was a 1/4" dead bug in the sheets - made you wonder if they had been changed.

SLEEP INN FRAUDUENTLY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARDPosted Mar 1, 2016
Pros: IT WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE.
Cons: THE FRAUDULENT CHARGES SHOULD BE REVERSED IMMEDIATELY.
THE STAY WAS OKAY BUT AFTER I HAD CHECKED OUT I DISCOVERED THAT SLEEP INN HAD FRAUDULENTLY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD WAY IN EXCESS OF WHAT WAS ON THE INVOICE AND THEN THEY WERE UNCOOPERATIVE WHEN I CALLED THEM ABOUT IT AFTER MY STAY. I AM DISPUTING THESE FALSIFIED CHARGES WITH MY BANK.
