Nice place to stay for not so much money.

Pros: nice and affordable.
Cons: a facelift
Location: close to restaurants and stores
I had a peaceful and restful time at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and had everything that I needed.

Pros: Great breakfast and good staff.
Convenient location off the highway, pleasant staff and free breakfast was very convenient and a time saver for us to get going in the morning.

Close to interstate and Iowa State Fair

Hotel needs some maintenance and updates. Hallways and stairways were hot and ceiling appeared to have water damage that needed be fixed. We stayed 3 nights and refill of soaps and shampoo not always done. Complementary breakfast was minimal.

Nice space

TV and swimming pool is not working.washer and dryer is not working also and no ice

I apologize for the inconvenience you had while staying here. The pool was down for awhile in July for maintenance but was back up and running by the 9th of August. Im sorry the washer & dryer were out of order but we do have new ones coming soon. I will let the maintenance staff know of the other concerns so that they may be addressed. Thank you

Rough hotel

Hotel overall was dirty and uncared for. Our remodeled room was clean and comfortable.Way overpriced.

Super 8 needs super fixed up!!

Location: Near 35/80 in north Des Moines, endless activities and sights to see
Water damaged ceilings in the hallways, rooms & towels that smelled like smoke even though it's a non- smoking hotel and super hard beds. Very disappointing for a Super 8!!!!!! I'm not sure if Super 8 recently purchased this part of the hotel and planned on fixing it up or what, but it was not worth what I paid for the room. There were chips missing in the bathroom floor tile and the shower curtain smelled moldy. The beds were very hard and the a.c. was very loud. I wouldn't stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

Convenient location

It isn't a bad drive to excursions... fairgrounds and Altoona are both easy to get to. The wifi didn't have any connection so that was the biggest downside. The breakfast could have had a variety considering we were there for 3 days. Not too terrible of an experience so I would still recommend it.

Don't go here!

Pros: There were no redeeming qualities about this hotel. It does not deserve the rating it received on Expedia.
Cons: Better hotel management.
They did not have the rooms we ordered. The wifi did not work. The hallways were hot and had a very ad odor. My bed had stains on it. I got locked in the bathroom because the door had a broken handle. I ordered three rooms. We did not stay the night. We went to a different hotel.

Very dirty & smells bad hotel

I bought a hotel room with you pictures on the Expedia website, pls don't lie to people. Terrible hotel & room!!!
