“Upon arrival, we had difficulty communicating with the owner. There had been a payment issue but VRBO never told us & any messages the owner was sending never came through. The link to the page that was supposed to contain instructions was broken. We had to contact VRBO and get them to contact the owner, only to find out we had to process a payment to get access. Note - the outside of the building and the parking areas are POORLY maintained. The gated parking is wild. People park any sort of way……

The check in process was a little confusing and it was a little hard to locate the building but host helped by sending pictures. Area around the building is a bit sketch but knowing you had to unlock the building to get in made you feel a bit safer. “I’m sure the inside of the property was nice. But, when we arrived at the building, we decided not to get out of our car. The area did not look safe. The building looked rundown with broken windows, and AC units hanging out of them, the road itself was full of potholes and trash. The “gated parking lot” looked like a dump. We did not get a check-in confirmation until after out 4:00 check in time. We did not get pictures of the outside of the building until after we arrived also. We were……

“Stayed here for 3 nights while attending events at LCA with my husband and son. The neighborhood seems to be under revitalization, which is exciting to see - the more I visit Detroit the more I fall in love with the city. The loft is right across the street from the brand new Centennial Park, my son loved playing basketball on the NBA size court. Neighborhood and neighbors were pretty quiet and friendly. Check-in process was easy. Garage door opener provided to access the parking lot around back……
