It was okay. The temperature in the room was way too hot and wasn't controllable we were sweating all night (even though we turned it way down on the thermostat). The attendant at the check in was all over the place and seemed like he didn't really know what was going on. Which made me nervous especially when he couldn't find my name or my other room I booked since I booked two. He eventually found it but it took a while. The worst part was that the valet told us the wrong parking structure to park in. We opted to park our own car, and we got stuck in the parking structure because the toll booths would not allow us to swipe our card and exit the next day after check out. Apparently the valet directed us to park in the "valet only" lot. We were not the only people who were stuck so apparently many other people were told to park there as well. When I called the hotel for assistance the woman on the phone argued with me telling me I shouldn't have parked there, when it was the hotel valet that instructed us to do so, which I thought was pretty rude. She offered no apology but thankfully a valet was in line behind us and swiped his card to let us out. Overall the stay was mediocre. Very nice room but it could have been better, especially for the price I paid.

Hello and thank you very much for taking the time to post about your visit. First and foremost we want to offer a formal apology for the check-in and parking issues noted here. We worry that you possibly may have the wrong hotel here on Expedia as we actually do not offer self-parking options, but only valet. Perhaps you were at the Detroit Marriott across the street inside GM RenCen. Either way, we wanted to apologize for any and all issues and we do hope that you will return to Detroit again soon. Thank you!
