Close to Joe Louis

Pros: The rooms
Location: Joe Louis and The Convention Center
Very close to Joe Louis and Cobo Center. Had a nice stay. The rooms are nice suite style rooms. All in was a good stay. The food at the bar was good and the only problem was the kitchen was really slow

Pros: Our room was spacious with a beautiful view.
Friendly staff. Beautiful hotel. Great location. We really enjoyed our stay.

Rooms with bed bugs, rude and useless staff

Katie is the front desk "Supervisor" that did not help at all and was told they couldn't do anything for us because we booked with Expedia.

10 days in downtown Detroit

Cons: Valet only parking can cause a wait when the Red Wings play.
Location: Everything in downtown Detroit is easy to get to, either by short walk (Joe Louis arena & COBO) or quick ride on the people mover.
I has spent 175 days in 2017 in hotels in the Detroit area. My stay at the Crowne Plaza was the best. Great room, 23rd floor with great view of the river, great bar for after work drink, great restaurant on site, great access to public transport(people mover) as well as access to all highways.

Overall the hotel was in good shape I just felt The carpets in the bedrooms and holes are really dirty

Good Location!

Went to Detroit to see the Philadelphia flyers play the red wings. Hotel was across the street from arena. Centrally located to a few places. Hotel staff was friendly. Elevators were a little slow but otherwise, great place to stay!

25th floor restaurant is horrible!

We had booked the crowne plaza detroit on Black Friday. When choosing the room option we chose the executive room which was to include a shower tub combo. When we got into our room the bathroom was smaller than most closets. The man at the front desk of course told us he would give us a great view, we ended up looking at the top of cobo. Sunday morning we then decided to get breakfast on the 25th floor. We walked in and the hostess had asked if we were there for breakfast (it was 10am) we said yes. We were then sat at a table with an ok view. The hostess told us we could help ourselves to the Buffett and a waitress would bring us drinks. Our waitress came over once gave us our drinks and we went to get breakfast. The eggs were over cooked and brown. The hash browns were cold and soggy. Then when we went to leave I asked how we pay. The hostess got our waitress when I saw the bill I was shocked. $31.00 for the worst Buffett I had ever had. Never go to the restaurant on the 25th floor!

Night at the Plaza

Pros: Close proximity to the Joe Louis arena.
Cons: Cleanliness of furniture.
Very disappointed this time. We arrived to find one lounging chair which was dirty and one desk chair that was broken. We had to call down to have it removed and repaired. Our bathroom only had a 2x2 shower. No tub. Valet parking was an extra 34.00 fee only to find my car had been parked outside for the evening. We thought it was going into the parking garage.
