Uneventful stay-typical ES experience. No complaints, but nothing fantastic.

Great hotel with great breakfast!

Posted Jun 27, 2016
We loved our four night stay here. It was really busy over the weekend so be prepared for large crowds especially in the pool. Our room was clean and the beds were quite comfortable. We loved the breakfast in the mornings!

Will definitely stay here again

They have done a lot of remodeling to give it a more modern look. The bedroom closes off from the living room area, which is nice. The pool has a waterfall that falls into it. The breakfast in the morning is great with a made to order omelette station.

Weird. Not great.

The overall setup of the hotel was very odd. I generally really like Embassy Suites, but this was unlike any experience I've had at one before. There was a sense that the hotel overall was an incomplete work in progress, but old, outdated, and a bit run down at the same time. I requested a king room and was not only put in a room with two queen beds, but the really strange thing was that neither bed had blankets or pillows on them. They were just missing. I called the front desk and they moved me to a king room (complete with blankets and pillows!) but I could tell someone had been smoking in the bathroom (which was especially stupid because the room had a balcony). I had to talk with someone at the front desk to make sure they didn't charge me a cleaning fee for a smoky smelling room. Not a great experience.

Hotel overhaul is paying off

Posted Apr 19, 2016
Pros: Now it is good value for money again.
I have been there before and did not like it because it was simply out-dated and dirty. Hated it when I had to go there again and was pleasently surprised to see that they were almost done with a complete overhaul of the place! Now it is light and bright and the rooms are much more up-to-date.
