Fairfield Inn usually good but this time MUSTY

I chose the Fairfield as it was close to my meeting destination. I got in late and was exhausted. The room was well appointed and clean however it had a very strong MUSTY mouldy smell. This did not dissipate even after running the air conditioner. Did I get a room that had been vacant for a while? I told the Front Desk but they did not seem phased. I didn't ask for a discount nor did they offer one.

Cons: cocktail bar
Location: have better restaurants and take outs nearby
hotel was close to the airport. departure early at 5 a.m.
