Inexpensive and Still Not Worth the Money

It never bodes well when you enter a hotel to find staff members dressed in ill-fitting, dirty, company blazers who aren't that interested in what you want. The room was comfortable enough until the thermostat stopped working, then we woke up to a room that climbed to 80 degrees and no matter what we tried, we couldn't bring cool air in. We managed to crack a window open an inch - all that was allowed for some unknown reason.
We didn't get maid service. When I called to ask why, the "manager" apologized and said "Oh, I see you didn't opt for the green stay package, so we should have sent a maid to the room." Green option? First I heard of it. I might have chosen it, if I'd known about it. Until I found out it doesn't involve keeping your sheets and towels, but means NO maid service at all. No price break for the guest, of course. But a HUGE price break for the hotel, right? So we got an apology but no money off our bill.
Mismanaged property following bad corporate policy. I won't stay here again, and will avoid Sheraton Four Points all together in the future.
