Nice Hotel

Pros: Good Location
Hotel was within walking distance to Comerica Park. Valet parking was great! We loved eating at the Golden Fleece across the street!

Dirty.

Posted Sep 1, 2015
Front desk staff did not care about the filth of the rooms. Switched rooms. Second room just as bad. Room seriously hasn't been dusted in many months. Dirty footprints on the tile. Spilt sticky mess on the tile. Very unimpressed.

Nice place...

Posted Aug 31, 2015
Overall, a great place to stay, especially if you have an event at Ford Field, as it's just a couple of blocks away. We only ate at one of the restaurants, Bistro 555, and the food, service, and prices were great! Also, the room was nice, and the beds were DIVINE! The mattress was great and they put both a fuller, firm pillow, and softer thinner pillow for each "sleeping spot". A couple of not so great things: the hallways smell like smoke, and even though it's a nonsmoking hotel, the smoke must travel up from the casino. The casino is on the 3rd floor, and our room was on the 18th floor, and the smoke smell was still pretty intense. Thankfully, our room didn't have any smoke smell! Also, when you first pull up tot the parking ramp, there is a huge sign that says $50 cash for parking, and everyone in your car must be 21+. Since I was traveling with my 14 year old daughter, and wasn't aware of parking fees, I kind of freaked out...but when I pulled up, they told me I didn't have to pay the fee, and we were able to pull in. Basically, I feel like the signage could clarify better for 1st time visitors. Overall, it was a great place!

took kids to One direction concert at ford field

Posted Aug 31, 2015
Pros: friendly staff, and close to ford field
Cons: cooks/order takers making sure food request are done as customer would like their food
Everything was good but late on saturday night, early sunday morning we ordered room service. The service was fine but we ask for our hamburger to be well done and it was so pink inside I could not eat it. I did not call and return it because it already took 30 minutes to receive it and I did not want to wait another 30. Very disappointed because it was not cheap.

Great view and location

Posted Aug 30, 2015
Don't be put off by the casino aspect to this hotel. The casino is depressing and drab, but it's in a separate building. You never have to see it or walk through. The hotel was clean and impressive: easy free parking, friendly staff at every encounter, comfortable bed, nice linens. Our room was a little small but had a great view of the city. The hotel is right next to Greektown restaurants and a short walk to Tigers stadium. Breakfast buffet ($14) is good. Overall, a much nicer experience than the usual above-average chain hotels. Good value.

Staff was fantastic, very helpful! It was clean, but some of the hotel furnishing seemed tired.

First impression

Posted Aug 27, 2015
The room was a little cool on arrival and I couldn't adjust the thermostat... it was either on or off. So I had to make that switch several times as it was too cold or warm and muggy. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was inoperable. Other then that it was a pretty nice set up.

Very accommodating front desk and valet service

Posted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: It was not only gorgeous, clean and welcoming, the staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful.
Cons: From staying just one night, I can 100% happy with my stay.
Location: The location was in greektown, which was very walker friendly. We did not need to use our car once. I felt very safe walking around Detroit.
My boyfriend and I were driving through Michigan and decided to stay in Detroit. This hotel looked promising, and it certainly was. The valet was wonderful and very friendly. Once we got to the front desk, we were checked in immediately, even though we had just booked the room via Expedia moments before (I did not even have a confirmation email on my phone yet). The front desk was extremely nice and helpful, even gave us suggestions on where to dine in the area. The room was gorgeous, super clean and the perfect size for two people staying overnight. When it was time to leave in the morning, checkout was seamless and the valet had our car ready for us within minutes of checking out. The only con to our stay was, while trying to enter the casino, the lady checking ID's was extremely rude and a very no-nonsense type. My boyfriend and I are both over 21, however, in the great state of Michigan, a paper ID is issued once a license is renewed and we were unable to use this to enter the casino. I am all about rules and completely understood that this was not an acceptable form of ID. This, however, did not even affect our wonderful stay here. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Detroit and I can not wait to come back and stay here again.

First time staying in downtown Detroit. Loved the hotel and it's location. The rooms were very modern and have a city skyline view or river view. I would say again in a heartbeat.

Loved it! Had a great time, plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well as night clubs. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again!
