OK but not on game weekend.

Posted Nov 23, 2015
Pros: Nice breakfast! Very polite staff!
Cons: Sound proofing.
Location: Good food in Detroit.
Game weekend means drunks coming in all night long. Don't plan to get any rest. They are LOUD, yelling in the halls all night long. Also, parking is valet only. Kind of a pain to get the car out of valet every time you want to go somewhere outside of the reach of the People Mover.

Nice hotel close to everything.

Posted Nov 22, 2015
Have stayed here for Lions, Tigers, and Redwings games. It's a great location for all, you can walk if the weather is right or they have a free shuttle to all locations. Hotel staff is always friendly. Room is comfortable.

Dirty rooms

Posted Nov 16, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: clean
My room was so dirty. I had someone's dirty socks under the bed. Also, a bottle of perfume was under the bed. there were hairs in the shower and on the bathroom floor. I pulled the covers back and there were crumbs. Overall gross experience.

Car valet service damaged our vehicle!!!

Posted Nov 15, 2015
Pros: Near the Detroit Passport Agency office.
Cons: The valet service was terrible.
The hotel is as basic as it gets. But what potential guests should be aware of is this: if you drive your own vehicle, they will force you to "valet" it, for an extra $20/day I believe. They told us upon arrival that there is NO street parking available and that the ONLY option is to valet the vehicle. We were there for an appointment at the Detroit Passport Agency which is super close by and had our 2015 vehicle with us... and there were two very notable scratches on the passenger door the next morning (and it had been parked for less than 8 hours). They had us fill out a mock "incident report" and promised to get back to us, stating it's not the hotel's problem, but the valet company. Regardless, nobody got back to us even after we followed up. Long story short, if you can either don't stay at this hotel OR don't bring your own vehicle.

Beds had hair and crumbs in them when we arrived. Had to have housekeeping come change the beds.

Great location but very dated!

Posted Nov 4, 2015
We only had to stay one night so it wasn't bad. Staff were very friendly, shower head was great and breakfast was fabulous! The pillows were not good, carpet looked old and felt dirty, elevators need makeovers and all the peeling pain in the bathrooms and unfixed holes in room 1008 need attention!

My Go-To

Posted Oct 28, 2015 on Hotels
This is my go-to hotel in Detroit. It's in a great location where everything is walking distant or you can walk across the street and access the people mover if you do not feel comfortable walking.

Handy location to downtown and Wayne State campus,

Posted Oct 25, 2015
Pros: Handyness ...
Cons: We got NO cleaning service on second day in hotel. No clean towels or soaps.
A plus was morning breakfast, friendliness of staff. Otherwise, not many amenities at hotel.
