Small, cramped, filthy room

Pros: The bar attached had friendly staff and offered a shuttle to the game
Hotel hallways were scary and dark. Smell was not great. Room had garbage from last guest still in it. no attention to detail, very dusty, hairs in bathroom. Very old and warn furnishings. Picked this hotel because of the brand worst Holiday inn i have stayed in.

Pool is a joke. Freezing and 3 feet deep. Parking is, ridiculous.

Well located in Detroit's downtown core.

The location was great. It was our first time staying in Detroit. We had no issues walking around at night in the area. The staff was nice and courteous. The free breakfast in the morning was better than we expected. We enjoyed our stay. Room was average and was what we were expecting. My friends used the gym which they said was acceptable as well.

We had a suite with one bed and a pull out couch - the blankets they left for the couch were too small and did not cover the whole bed.

Overall the hotel was nice, parking on the other hand was absolutely horrible!!! We arrived next to the hotel a little after 5pm we drove around for over an hour trying to find parking all of the parking garages near the hotel didn't have weekend parking so if we were to park our car in their garage we wouldn't be able to get it until monday morning and we were checking in Friday night, I called the hotel to ask where they recommended us to park and the lady at the front desk said we only do vallet parking for I think she said $28 dollars!!! No thank you! She also waa very rude then had the curtsey to hang up on me. We had to walk over a mile in 12degree weather with ALL OF OUR LUGGAGE! All hotels should have free parking for their guests even if it may be vallet if you're paying almost $200 a night parking should be included!

Valet has no respect

DO NOT USE THE VALET SERVICE!!! After paying for the mandatory fee and tipping them, they decided it would be okay to smoke in my rental car. They are far from professional and I am going to find a way to make them pay the penalty that Budget charged for smoking in a smoke free rental vehicle. I will not be going to this hotel again.
