Ok, so I know this is Motel 6 and that expectations shouldn't be lofty. At just over $50 a night, I really only expected a very well worn and dated room with a tiny bar of cheap soap, some scratchy towels, and a bed that's only slightly softer than the floor. What I didn't expect to see was garbage EVERYWHERE. Full bags of trash sat piled up near public trash cans, outside of room doors, just trash every direction you looked in, for at least the first day and a half I was there.
I got the feeling that most of the people staying there were more like tenants than motel guests. So many had pets! Even bigger dogs! I had to request a different room my before I even got into the first one because there were two dogs barking their heads off in the next room.
The replacement room's card key reader wouldn't work and I had to go to a third room and finally got settled in!
This place is not cleaned properly. I'm by no means a clean freak, but upon checking into my room of 4 nights and seeing how dirty it was, I bought spray cleaner and paper towels at DollarTree and cleaned it myself.
All that said, the bright point of this place was actually the front desk staff. I dealt with two separate ladies, both were very friendly and helpful. In the future I'll just spend and extra 15 bucks a night and stay in a place that doenst have trash everywhere.
