Very nice hotel steps from Somerset mall in Troy M

Pros: Clean,convenient and super service.
Front desk staff Shelly, went out of her way to accommodate a request we made that was normally not available buy she came through. Thank you Shelly.

Very welcoming - nice restaurant - great staff - The bathroom was a little tight and there wasn't a thermometer on the wall you had to either turn on the wall unit or turn it off.

Nice and Comfortable

The hotel was nice and comfortable and close to restaurants if you don't want to eat at the hotel's restaurant. The hotel restaurant met my needs for breakfast and dinner; it was convenient to have it within the hotel. I would stay again.

Pros: Prompt check-in
Location: Lots of wonderful, high-end shopping a short walk away. However, this just makes the shabbiness of the hotel that much more striking.
Unfortunately this hotel did not meet the 4.1 rating stated. Although you were greeted promptly and courteously when arriving everything stopped there. The elevator had a weird smell - like being washed down with a dirty dishrag. The towels in the bathroom felt and looked like they were bought at a dollar store. You could only have the heat on or off. The amount of outlets was inadequate. The tv remote needed a new battery. Do not use the restaurant - steak was very subpar. I give this hotel a 3 at best.

I'm sorry you were not pleased with your stay. This doesn't reflect our standards. The newly renovated rooms (the deluxe rooms on the first 2 floors) have additional outlets, and we are going through the towels in all rooms to get rid of any that are seeming worn.

I'm sorry you were not happy with your experience. We pride ourselves on being the cleanest hotel in Troy. Further, we have been in the process of renovating all of our deluxe level rooms, which are significantly larger than the standard rooms. All of the deluxe rooms have brand new carpet and furnishings. I hope you will come back to visit and possibly book one of the larger room types.

Update heat and ac asap not very comfortable and way outdated

Thank you for your comment. The AC/heating units are actually not old, and the deluxe rooms were just fitted with new separate thermostats. I'm sorry they were not to your satisfaction. I hope the rest of your stay was pleasant.
