Typical Westin: Excellent

Pros: All good, location was good for my overnight
Check in was great, staff we wonderful, hotel was clean and rooms were great

It looks like they're updating but not soon enough

Water was brown out of faucet. Fitness center was closed, they put two treadmills and some weights in a suite to use but there were too many people waiting. Maybe after updates the place will be nice.

Bed Bug!!!!!!

I have stayed at this hotel previously with no complaints, but this time I found a bed bug under the covers. I was so disgusted they tried to offer me another room but I was just ready to leave. I just get a refund for the issue but now that makes me look more when I go to any hotel. Hearing the stories about bed bugs but it's different when it happens to you. Would not recommend this hotel for that reason

Nice for our purposes

My wife and I visited the great city of Detroit in order to appear on the Word Network. My wife was performing live in the evening. The hotel was just 3 minutes away from the studio. We really appreciated the fact that the hotel was so close. The staff was friendly, the food and atmosphere at the restaurant was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Nice business hotel close to freeways

Location: Great access to freeways

Was not impressed. Will not be paying online again

I paid for my stay at the Westin in Southfield, MI my reservations was for 02-17-2017 to 02-18-2017. I paid for the room on line and when I tried to check in they told me I needed to have an extra $60.00 on my credit card for the incidentals. I didn't have that much on my card but had cash and they wouldn't take the cash. I feel this information should have been included online so I would have taken care of that before I got there. It was embarrassing and I overheard other customers complain about not being aware of the charge. While there we were awaken at 9:35 am Saturday because someone pulled the fire alarm. Once we gathered ourselves and went down 5 flights of stairs we were then told it was a false alarm.

Nice Hotel

Pros: covered garage kept off the snow
Cons: could use a side table next to the chair to hold a glass while reading
Location: just went to our family event and returned home
We attended a family gathering. The hotel was close to the gathering and suited our needs for a 1 night stay.

The staff was very nice and quick. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The bed was fantastic!
