This property wasn't just going renovations, it was gutted, with seriously hazardous conditions. Mattresses blocked the stairwells, boards with nails on the hallways and sidewalks outside, drywall dust everywhere and piled all along the chair railings down the hall. Upon entering the room for the first time the toilet had toilet paper in it and was clogged, which I had to get a plunger from the front desk and was told to do it myself. The hotel phone was not plugged in, so I had to use my own cell phone to call the front desk. The hotel door didn't close all the way, thank God we were only there for a day! The smoke alarm on the floor has a dead battery and it beeped all night and the smoke alarm on our room was hanging from the wall. The desk chair had a huge rip the whole width of the fabric on the back, there was no toilet paper roll holder, and so many rooms that were gutted were left wide open and spilled out broken furniture and building materials in the hallway. It was disgusting and it looks like the renovation has been taking a long time with no end in sight. They really should have shut down completely if they're tearing everything down. And the "breakfast" was a couple danishes and coffee randomly placed in a hallway because the breakfast area was gutted and blocked off for renovations.
