Very nice hotel in downtown Detroit.

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness, history and staff.
Location: Centrally located in downtown Detroit. Can walk to many sites - casinos, Tiger game, opera house, restaurants, Fillmore.
I chose Westin Book for our stay in downtown Detroit when we wanted to be in walking distance to the Tiger game and local restaurants/bars. It exceeded my expectations. It is in a very nice location and was a very nice hotel. The staff were all extremely helpful and courteous.

Clean, modern hotel close to several venues. Beautiful architecture, friendly staff. Only downside is they charge for wifi.

Completed under delivered.

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: Everything could be improved.
Could not provide a role-a-way bed as promised. Paid for executive lounge but could not access it on day two. Very unhelpful staff. At $400 a night you expect more.

Great hotel....great price

Needed a place to stay while in Detroit for a weekend trip and was quite happy with choosing this hotel. Nice large suite, easy parking, great gym and a close walk to lots of stuff in the area.

Great hotel in a great city.

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Cons: Parking fee and security deposit.
Location: Downtown Detroit. Plenty to do nearby and close to people mover station.
Everything was good, very nice hotel I got at a great price from Expedia. So much to do in the downtown Detroit area and 2 24/7 coney island restaurants were right down the street. I got a mini fridge and microwave (on request) in my room for free which was very helpful. The only thing I didn't like was having to pay for parking but this seems to be a trend in downtown Detroit. And another thing, having to pay a security deposit, I wanted to give them cash for it so I could get my money back when I checked out but apparently it HAS to be on my card smh. So the money didn't get refunded for a few days and I ended up needing that money. Other than those things, I loved it.

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: it was very comfortable the rooms were huge ... great location !
Cons: sound proofing ....
Location: Great location ...close to the hard rock and other bars and restaurants ... also walking distance to Greektown and both Comerica Park and For Field
Hotel was great ... but not too sound proof ...lots of noisy people in the middle of the night ... felt like they were in our room!! But Detroit was GREAT ...I was very pleasantly surprised... the downtown core very clean and the people friendly... we went to a baseball game and the atmosphere was fantastic .. will be back to see the Lions next time

Can't go wrong at the Westin

Posted Jul 11, 2015
The Westin brand is the benchmark that I gauge all other hotels. The Westin Cadillac meets all expectations. Friendly and helpful staff, great location - walking distance to Comerica park and other districts and room comfort and cleanliness that is hard to beat.
