Inexpensive, pleasant stay.

Pros: The pool.
Cons: Temperature of the pool.
Location: This was near my son's home.
Very nice hotel, but with a few problems. I wasn't aware the pool was an extra charge. And then on top of it the pool was 62 degrees!!!

Thank you for the review, we appreciate the feedback. The pool was a little colder than we normally have it, but the issue has been resolved. We did contact every guest ahead of time to inform them of the situation. In regards to our rates, we do offer a room only rate and a water park package rate, so you do need to double check your reservation before booking it.

Never returning

Pros: The staff that I encountered upon check in was really nice and also the life guards that was in the pool area.
I enjoyed the waterpark facilities and the lifeguards were very nice. The adult hot tub wasn't hot at all. The bathroom in my room was dark and dingy probably because only 2 out of the five light bulbs worked. The bathroom can also use some grout work. We left out to go shopping and return to the room after 1:30 AM. We were able to access the outside door leading into the hotel but, the room door would not open. I called the front desk and no answer. I called and again and had to persuade the front desk clerk that it wasn't the key because we were granted access inside the building. After convincing the clerk to send up maintenance, he came up and reprogrammed the door and surprised the keys started to work again. There was a spider crawling on one of the beds so it was hard to get my girls to calm down and go to sleep after I killed it. And the next day the housekeeper told us she couldn't give us towels because she only had enough for the room. The television was also blank with sound when we first checked in. I had to call the front desk to learn that I need to unplug it and start again. It worked so that wasn't a big deal. It was just a lot of small things that rubbed me the wrong way.

Not good.Reception staff at early morning was rude

When I checked in at 5pm, the reception guy was super nice. The room was ok but the bathroom was dirty. At 6am (09/30), I went to reception to check out. I didn't find the reception lady. She came few minutes later and was eating and walking very slow. She answered a phone while I was asking her to check out. I spent more than 10 minutes to check out! Which should take more than 1 minutes.

Waste of money!!!

Pros: The restaurant had good pizza deals and nice wait staff.
Cons: Customer service, and prices!!
Location: We went to the Detroit Zoo and Dave and Busters.
When I purchased my hotel package through Expedia, I was under the impression that my family and I would be able to use the pool and arcade since we were staying in the hotel. That was not the case!! I already paid 219.00 for 2 nights, and they wanted me to pay another $200 to use the pool!. Over four hundred dollars for two nights!! We went down and looked at the pool/water park to see if it would be worth it, and it is not!! There is a splash area, one water slide, a very small lazy river, regular pool area, and hot tub. The entire area is like a sauna. It is hard to breathe with the extreme heat and very strong chlorine odor. Needless to say my kids were quite disappointed. We had a budget for the trip and $200 would've taken away from other activities we wanted to do. Even the game room said you needed a wrist band to enter and play. I will never stay at one of this hotel chains ever again!

Hi Amber, I'm sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations. We do offer room only rates and waterpark package rates. The waterpark package rate would have been a great deal so your family could enjoy the waterpark. The only issue is when booking through a third party site, then you have to work with them and we lose the flexibility to help you in some cases.

Close to restaurants

The indoor waterpark was a hit with my children. The room was dusty. The carpet needed shampooing.

Need to Remodel

I'm not sure why the pool closes 4 times a day, when there is no real cleaning being done to the pools. The overall hotel needs to be redone, the pool water was dingy and green, the door to our hotel room was busted, the snack stand was over priced for the quality of the foods, the out side doors were broken...etc.... I could go on and on, the price I paid was not worth what I received.

The first room we were given had ashes and mold on the air conditioning unit, the beds were dirty, the bathroom was gross, the phone did not work. The pictures were off the walls and the walls were extremely dirty. The 2nd room was better, however the guests were loud and running in the halls until late in the night. The ice machines did not work, the air wasn't running in the common areas.

Disappointing

Really disappointed. The Waterpark (main reason we booked this hotel) and breakfast were NOT included with the room and were priced ridiculously high. The elevator smelled strongly of urine, so much so we took the stairs. Twice we went to the front desk to pick up our own towels after an hour long wait failed to get them to our room. No blankets were available for the pull out out couch. This experience shifted my view of Wyndham hotels, and not in a positive way. I will never stay here again. For what we got, we overpaid.

Our team does pride itself on offering world class customer service to our guests. I want you to know that we do offer a ROOM ONLY rate and a WATERPARK rate. We do this because of guest feedback like yours. Guests have told us they prefer to have the option. Not everyone who stays here wants to pay for the waterpark if they won't use it. And since we are a full service hotel, so we do not offer a complimentary breakfast. Again, please accept our apologies for not getting the value you expected.

Nice well kept Hotel! I came Saturday thru Monday. The Water Park isn't open on Sunday. So I ended up checking out early cause that was the reason I was there.
