Friendly hotel with free car parkingPosted Apr 3, 2015
Staff most helpful and polite a comfortable environment not the most upto date had goods nights sleep with no noise disturbance unlike others I've stayed on for a similar price when you hear people walking about from the next door room or floor above. Enjoyed using the communal seating areas and games room as opposed to just staying in the bedroom as you have to do with some hotels for the same price ,would stay there again

good staff hotel needs workPosted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Cons: Rooms need decorating, hotel needs needs decorating, games room needs better lighting for the pool table,
Location: Torquay has fabulous beaches great nightlife and some excellent restaurants.
Room was extremely hot but the bathroom was like a walk in freezer with cobwebs complete with spider in the corner. The view from our bedroom window looked onto a flight of concrete stairs strewn with scaffolding poles , junk , planks of wood and other building detritus. To make it worse we could hear every time the people in the room upstairs went to the toilet. i could hear them urinating as if i was in their bathroom with them. Hotel is advertised with entertainment every weekend ( but not this one ) and advertises free wifi which just simply didn't work all the way down in the basement. On a purely selfish note , the coffee provided in the rooms is some of the foulest tasting slop ive ever tried to drink. Thank God for the lovely waitress in the local Beefeater who very kindly gave me some Kenco sachets

you gets what you pay for!Posted Dec 6, 2014 on Hotels
We only paid £30 for a twin room so I guess 'you gets what you pay for' extremely austere and dated. The whole property is in need of refurbishment and good clean. In hindsight we would have paid more for this century accommodation.

Weekend stayPosted Jun 17, 2014 on Hotels
The locatsion was great, with three year old child we could easily walk to beach and town centre, only slightly up hill, not like alot of hotels in torquay which are an "Everest" type climb. Had great outdoor area for child to play which was great, overall if you are looking for no frills hotel but wish really super nice friendly staff and fair accomdation this is a good bet.
