OK for elderly overnighters
Posted Feb 28, 2017
Our room 135 was VERY draughty. It was a very windy day, but we had to put my travel blanket on the window cill behind the curtains to try an dminimise draught. It may be that the seals on the windows have gone. Didn't affect our stay as we literally wanted somewhere to rest our heads after going to Pavilions show - would have asked for room on opposite side of building if we had been going to spend more time in room.
Haven't been there for 4-5 years probably. Our room had the decor updated since then. Blackout curtains are good. The seats looked comfortable, but we are both elderly, and they were too low for us, which woudl have been a nuisance under other circumstances.
Check in was easy. We were on Expedia room only deal and bought breakfast vouchers when we checked in, which was cheaper than adding breakfast to the bill next day. Breakfast OK. Not the best by any stretch of the imagination, but fed us. I didn't have cooked - my husband and frined did. Jam etc. was a disaster - presumably to be green they don't have individual person pots or plastic tubs, There are some gadgets that you press which dollops (VERY slowly) jam, marmalade etc on to the plate for you. I understand the problem, but this is definitely NOT the answer. In addition what we got from the 'Marmalade' dispenser was probably apricot jam - no way was it marmalade.
Staff all friendly. Stay again? Yes, if price advantage was tempting. Worked for us for 3 adults wanting basic stay.
Comment from Hotel Management

Thank you for your valuable feedback received after your recent stay with us. We sincerely appreciate your comments and are we delighted that overall, you enjoyed your stay with us.
However, please accept my apology for any inconvenience caused by our choice of furniture in room 135 as well as any draughtiness from the windows. I will task my maintenance team with resolving any seal issues immediately. Equally, please accept my apology for your obvious frustration with our choice of jam dispensers. We employ this standard across all of our hotels in the UK as part of our corporate initiative to reduce non-recycleable waste which historically was a challenge with the individual jam containers.
I am glad to see that this did not overly detract from your stay experience and that we will have the opportunity of welcoming you back for any future visits.
