A Hidden Gem near the HoePosted Jun 9, 2015 on Hotels
stayed overnight while we helped daughter move out of university halls after completing her first year. We were welcomed by friendly Erica and shown to our room. Room 16 - it was at the back of the establishment overlooking the car park so was quiet. it was spotless and welcoming. blackout curtains meant a good nights sleep. Hubby thought bed was a little soft but comfortable. a couple of pictures as a finishing touch would have made the room more homely but thats us being picky and i wouldnt mark it down for it. next morning in the beautiful period dining room - breakfast was plentiful and very fresh with plenty of choices. Staff were friendly and attentive and are a credit to Erica. Would highly recommend this for a stay. its ideal for the Hoe which on a warm summer evening is a must and nearby centre for shopping. Hope to revisit when we bring daughter back for her second year at university.

Wonderful stay at Number OnePosted Apr 28, 2015
Location: Great location close to the Hoe, the Barbican, the Theatre Royal, shopping, trains and buses. Plymouth is a walkable city.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Number One B&B at Plymouth for a short vacation. The room was quiet and clean with a comfortable bed. I highly recommend Number One. If I am ever back in Plymouth, I would definitely stay there again.

Superb locationPosted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: Its proximity to the city centre, free parking, free and easy to access Wi-Fi, friendly staff.
Cons: We generally like a larger room, but that's not anything the hotel could change.
Location: Very close to the Hoe, easy walking distance of city centre attractions and a wide range of restaurants.
The hotel is well situated in easy walking distance of the Hoe, and a wide choice of restaurants. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had the benefit of free parking, which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, and also easy to access Wi-Fi. Our room was not large, and if you are looking for a luxury hotel you should look elsewhere and expect to pay more, but it was extremely good value for money and we were very happy with our stay.
