Very good valuePosted Aug 1, 2015
Pros: Good value, clean and comfortable, excellent breakfasts.
Location: Located on a bus route, 10 minutes walk from the sea front. The South West Coast Path runs close by so there are a choice of walks starting locally.
Locating on a main road about 10 minutes walk to the sea front, the hotel is also on a bus route, so it is easy to get in to Ilfracombe or to other places such as Barnstaple. The breakfasts were excellent, with locally sourced free range eggs, Devon smoked kippers and good quality sausages & bacon on the menu. Vegetarian options were available. The owners were very friendly, although they are looking to sell up and retire. The room I had was very clean and comfortable. As a Victorian building there are quite a few stairs to the upper floors so if you are mobility impaired that might be an issue. Ilfracombe itself is also quite hilly.

Lovely long weekendPosted Jul 15, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had a fabulous stay. Louise and Keith (the owners) greeted us on arrival and were brilliant throughout the stay! Room 5 is a four poster room and is pleasantly decorated. Breakfasts are tasty and well presented (the pancakes were delightful!) Approx 15 mins walk into town - beautiful area!

Very welcoming and comfortable.Posted Jul 11, 2015 on Hotels
Had a short two day stay here. Sightseeing. Made very welcome. Breakfast was very good. Very friendly owners who were happy to advise on places of interest and to visit. Would recommend it to others. I would stay here again although I did find it a little noisy with traffic from the main road.

Fabulous Guest HousePosted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: Louise & Keith were excellent hosts. It's evident to see how hard they've worked to ensure guests have everything they need in beautiful surroundings.
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: 15-20 minute walk to Harbour. Would highly recommend Harbour Lights Restaurant. Food was fantastic and staff welcoming and friendly.
Everything about the Guest House is evidently a labour of love of Louise and Keith. Fabulous hosts who made us feel very welcome. The full English breakfast was substantial and well cooked and if required a good variety of alternative breakfasts all accompanied by an artisan bread selection too. We occupied Room 5 with it's four poster bed beautifully decorated and tasteful accessories almost fairytale. Louise had made the adornments in the room which gave a warm, cosy and homely feel from a bygone age. Very clean modern bathroom complete with soap and shower gel dispensers, a very thoughtful touch.
