Avoid this Guest House

Pros: Noithing
Cons: Just about everything. The decor was dated (I've never seen so much artex since the 1970s) and badly in need of a spruce up.
Location: Tired seaside town, but as expected
Unfriendly, unkempt staff, they complained that we hadn't arrived by six o'clock (nothing in the booking to say we had to!) and then left us on the doorstep ... hotel smelt musty and dirty on arrival. After we explained that we had been driving for twelve hours there was no acknowledgement just a curt and short tour of the hotel. The room was damp (large patch on wall) as was the bedding - we had to dry the sheets with a hairdryer. The only acceptable thing about the whole experience (which I would not like to repeat) was the breakfast which was adequate. At £85 a night it was extortionate and I'm not surprised it wasn't full.

Pros: Convenient, friendly staff and good value.
Cons: For a 3 star hotel, it is very good. Very good breakfast and facilities to prepare food and cook. Could improve the décor but that's personal taste
Location: Very well positioned, a short walk from the beach, harbour and town centre. Good transport links and local facilities.
I has a very good experience at a pleasant hotel with friendly, helpful staff.

didn't feel welcome

The whole hotel is in need of refurbishment. The room was small, really only single size although they had squeezed a double bed into it. No room for 2 people to get changed in. Adviertised as en-suite, the sink was in the room and no shower only a bath. Wasn't made to feel welcome. Phoned to inform them we would be arriving late and on arrival owner complained about feeling tired although we were the guests it felt as though we were putting them out.
