Wonderful stay!
Such a lovely stay. Fonz and a bay the hosts were friendly and helpful. Accommodation perfect, and breakfast delicious! I would recommend.

Outstanding stay!!
An amazing place to stay!! Husband and i webt for our 2nd wedding anniversary, Travelled from Essex , was able to check in an hour earlier. Shay i think the wife of Fonz cayered for all our needs. Deffo stay there again. Highly recommend. Reasonably oriced too!

Lovely hostess Jacquie, good breakfasts, easy walk to seafront and town centre. Restaurants and cafes all close by and good. Bed was barely a double. Good parking on site. Unfortunately access wasn’t available to the lounge. Bathroom quite good, small dressing table and small desk. Overall value for money.

Went away for a couple of days and stayed at this lovely B&B. Very nice location that makes you feel that you aren’t exactly where you are located. We were welcomed by the owners who were friendly and informative as they showed us around. Our room was room number 1 on the ground floor at the front of the B&B. It was very well decorated and very adequate for what we required, it was clean and tidy with all the little extras you required. These were restocked daily as well. I can’t fault this place at all and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area

Excellent service, good location
We stayed end of September 2017 and we enjoyed the beautiful decorated and very clean room, comfortable bed and modern bathroom. We received plenty of refills of coffee/tea, mineral water and fresh towels every day. The service and friendliness of the owners were constant and brilliant. We valued the central heating as well. We could regulate it like how we wanted and it stayed on all night. WiFi worked perfectly. Common room and chairs outside provide an opportunity to relax there. We recommend to book the breakfast, which is superb value for the money. Parking (entrance is a bit steep and the first time we nearly missed it) is in front of the house and from there it is easy and only a short walk to the beach, harbour and central clock tower. Good location.

Nice hotel and close to beach
Had a lovely welcome. Was told about the area and places to visit. Hotel is in excellent position. Plenty of parking. We had a family room which was lovely and big and clean. Breakfast was the best we have ever had. Was excellent. We walked each evening to the beach and marina. The town is right by the marina. Will definitely return

Nice hotel at Torre Abbey
Nice hotel close to Torre Abbey Sands, Torquay station and local buses. Clean and comfortable with friendly owners. Didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that.

brilliant friendly staff the room was bright spacious and comfortable, and very clean, great location 5 minute walk from the sea front and has the added bonus of off street parking, we shall definitely be going back, thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great stay at The Bahamas :)
The Bahamas was just a 5 minute walk from the seafront and town which was perfect as it was far enough away to avoid the noise when we wanted to rest but close enough to walk to in a few minutes. The hotel was comfortable, private and all we needed for our stay. Although our room we thought included breakfast it turned out that it didn't which wasn't the end of the world just a little disappointing. The room was cleaned every day while we were out, and replenished with coffee, biscuits etc. The shower was exceptionally good too. Overall this is a very good place to stay and great value for money so would recommend to anyone :)

Noisy neighbourhood because of a ground and also footsteps from the above room were heard quite loud. Couldn't sleep till late. Sound proofing needed.

Nice weekend at Hotel Bahamas
A hotel good located, close to sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. The straff were very serviceminded and helpful. The room was large, cosy and quiet (no disturbance from traffic). We will gladly come back another time!

Very nice stay John was very helpful. Nice to have tea and coffee as well as a bottle of water. Shower didn't have a shower curtain at first but when I got back from a night out John was there to fit it this was about 11 ish he didn't need to do that but did.

Torquay 4 day break during a long overseas trip
Hotel was in a good location with about a 10 minute walk to the Torquay seafront. The owners John and Sonia were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Free off road car parking was a bonus for us. The room was adequate for us considering we were travelling with a lot of luggage. Overall an excellent stay.

Good B & B close to Torquay front and town
We were visiting family for a short break of four nights, so wanted good standard accommodation at a reasonable price, Bahamas fitted the bill very well. John the proprietor was friendly and helpful, and served a good full English breakfast. The room was fine for our stay, the bed was really comfortable, and the ensuite was clean and well fitted (although the loo was a bit slow to refill). Overall a very satisfactory stay.

It was a quiet place to spend holiday...not being disturbed by other customers...great and newly cooked breakfast...accomodating and approachable hosts and they make you feel at home...recommending which place in town is best to go to.

Misleading
We booked accommodation for 3 adults, however on arrival were told that the room we'd been allocated was "not suitable for 3 adults". Despite repeatedly explaining that we'd booked for 3 adults, and that if the room wasn't suitable then we should have been told before driving 5 hours to get there, the proprietor didn't offer anything in the way of alternative. After offering to pay more for the room (it was late and we weren't going to be able to find an alternative), the "unsuitable" room magically became suitable, which was a relief but at the same time left very bitter taste in the mouth. The hotel itself is a basic B&B, despite the name, and was clean if rather tired and dated. Breakfast was entirely passable, and it was about a 15 minute walk to the seafront, and a further 10 minutes into the town centre. Had we not had the issues on arrival, it wouldn't have been so bad, but the overall experience was brought down significantly by that, and the fact that we'd been given no option but to line the owner's pockets to avoid sleeping on the street.
