Best Inn B&B in DevonPosted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Great room, very clean and lovely and quiet. Brilliant shower. Fab, yummy veggie breakfast. And Carol is lovely.
Cons: Nowt. Sorted.
Location: Buckfast Abbey, Newton Abbot, Paignton, all manner of places in Devon. Just go explore. Or, stay in the lovely village and drink great ale.
Carol and the team are really lovely. Fantastic room, with the best shower we have ever used, easy to use and fun being deluged with tons of hot water. The room was great, quiet, very clean and an excellent base for exploring Devon. The veggie breakfast was the best we have come across in the UK. Many are rubbish, but this was very, very good. I would recommend The Oak at South Brent to anyone and look forward to staying there again. Great CAMRA real ales too. Really awesome!!

Lovely room, breakfast IS includedPosted Sep 9, 2014 on Hotels
The room exceeded expectations for a pub, with apparently all new furniture and beds, a spacious bathroom with the latest fittings and all the usual freebies you usually only get in a hotel, and even a wine refrigerator. Another nice surprise was that the cooked breakfast (decent choice on the menu) was included, despite my confirmation email saying it wasn't. Location is good, close-by convenience stores, and the pub is very quiet so no noise at all.

Will not be going backPosted Aug 25, 2014 on Hotels
Not my cup of tea at all. Dated room, a twin instead of of the double booked. The breakfast was very good and the owners did have a pre-order ready for me which was nice of them. The Wifi was shocking so could not work. Had I paid £40 a night I would not grumble, however £90 for this standard is unacceptable. Will not be going back.

Very impressed with whole stay in this inn which is just off the A38. The room was comfortable, the breakfast wonderful and the evening menu looked great, but we could not stay. Everyone was helpful and friendly and good value too
