"If You read the Good Reviews that is exactly what you get. There is No room service. The room cleaning happened twice and towels were changed. I stood for 5 days. The staff was amazing Moises, Andrea, Vladimir thank you. I didn’t like making a line at 545pm to eat at the restaurants. I would say I went to all except the Tuscan. The Liberia was good and the Octal restaurant for lunch and snacks was also good. Italian was good but not out of this world. I really enjoyed the food. Neon party was amazing it happens on Fridays. They do keep you entertained at night. Beach is black sand remember this is located on the pacific side of the country. It was ok. Coco beach is nearby you like bars? gift shops,Go there. Do activities , explore. The swim up pool is the best. I love the beer Imperial. Mini Bar is well stocked. I suggest tipping the guy who refills he would take care of you. There are four bars ,tip the bartenders they will take care of you. If you are lucky you can see the monkeys on the trees. My room was facing a park literally next door. I honestly loved my stay here. It was for 5 days. I was disappointed about the room when I arrived. I had communicated a few days prior my reservation. I ask if the room could be decorated for a birthday. I was told via Email the hotel offers this request. When I arrived no birthday decorations just a bottle of Guaro and an envelope with Happy Birthday on it. If you are undecided about booking and you are on a budget do it!"

"9 friends and I rented this house for my 40th birthday. We were overwhelmed by the property, Nicole's attentiveness (on-location concierge), outstanding food and over the top hospitality. The pictures do not do the house justice -- it is far more beautiful than any picture can capture. A sample of the flora and fauna at the house, viewed from the pool: howler monkies, resident iguanas, parrots and lots of tropical birds, variegated squirrels, hummingbirds by the Lobelia every 20 mins... it was incredible! A few notes: - Absolutely 100% you need a 4x4 coming up the road. It is very steep and my friend didn't get a 4x4 and barely made it up. He swapped for a 4x4 on day 2. - The master bedroom on the right, when walking into the house, has lower water pressure than the master on the left. - The scorpions are not poisonous - Listen to all Nicole's suggestions and introductions, especially her driver and diver referral. Outstanding private drivers, ask for Jose! Outstanding Diving -- Rich Coast Diving. - Listen to Nicole's suggestions on tips. Your tip at the end of the stay will pay for the crew of 9. Her tip is included in what she suggests. As you know, Costa Rica is very expensive, so if you are able, tip more than what she suggests. I can't recommend this house and team enough. Thank you!"

"This experience did not disappoint! The house is beautiful with views from every bedroom. The view from pool deck was hard to leave when it was time to end our trip!! Erica and Nelson took great care of us. What a treat to have breakfast prepared daily as well as having laundry and house cleaned daily so when we returned from outings the home was spotless. We took advantage of the recommendation for a chef to cook two meals. They truly were delicious! Highly recommend Johan if you are considering a chef experience. Overall, the week at Villa Zarpe was amazing. Should we return to Costa Rica, there is no other place we would chose to stay."

"The condo was spacious and there is a small pool outside the patio doors, which is nice. The kitchen is equipped ok. Air conditioning works very well. Condo needs maintenance. Washing machine leaks all over the floor in the laundry room. The fridge shuts off sporadically because there is a problem with the electrical outlet. The shower handle falls off. Our water was shut off twice for many hours without any notification. Maintenance shoveled raw sewage onto the grass beside our condo. We were unable to contact the property manager because we could only email them and they did not return our emails for over a week."

"We had a wonderful stay at LaRaye’s beautiful home. The home is in a beautiful gated community and has the best location. The home has everything you need and more. It was fantastic to come home after exploring for the day and to be able to relax in the pool. We enjoyed eating our meals on the patio and listening to the sound of the waves. Thank you LaRaye for making your home available and for making everything easy and enjoyable."

"This is a lovely little resort. Clean, well maintained and super friendly staff. We stayed in villa 20 which was perfect for the two of us. Beautiful grassy area and nice little patio with a slight view of the ocean. Easy walk to the restaurant and beach although coming back is uphill. Pools were clean and the small bay was quiet. My only complaint ( if you can call it that) is the room amenities. No maid service, no coffee or any condiments needed to cook any food you may have brought. Not a huge deal but considering the restaurant does not open til noon, at least coffee should be provided. There are no ice machines or any typical amenities you might expect. For us, these were minor issues. We absolutely would stay here again!"

"This property in Ocotal Beach was just perfect for us. We loved having bikes to ride as well as use of the kayaks. The Coco Beach club was a nice bonus as we love to play Pickleball. The close by restaurants, Father Roosters’s and Maracuya were the best in the area, both have great food and a fabulous view of the ocean. We can’t wait to visit again!"

"We rented Villa #6 in Pez Vela for a short stay in April 2023. We loved the Villa. It had everything we needed. The Kitchen was well stocked with all the things we needed to cook our own meals. Sitting outside at night was wonderful, the lush landscaping is full of tropical plants and trees. The beach is a short walk ( a block ). There is a pool that only the members or renters can use so it is quieter and more private. We ate at the restaurant by the pool. Their food was fabulous. If you like a challenging hike, you can walk from Pez Vela Beach to Ocotal Beach. We would surely rent there again. Side Note: this was during Easter week and all the local people flood the beaches, because Pez Vela is more private the beach was not overcrowded like the other beaches. And the sunsets are out of this world beautiful!"
