It was amazing to stay in a building nearly 600 years old. The staff were delightful and extremely helpful.

big family, with little ones!

Overall it was a great stay! We are a family of five, three kids under five. We had to have the family room...which was not very family friendly. It was on the fourth floor, then we walked up a set of stairs once we unlocked our hotel door, which isn't convenient for a family like ours. The floors in the room were slanted and so the floor beds were slanted. There was not a block off for the stairs in our room and since there was a bed right there we were terrified to have our kids playing around it. We had plenty of room though and liked the separation from the kids and us adults. The hotel is a very old hotel which was amazing for its charm! We enjoyed that alot! Eat at the restaurant!!! The food was delicious and our waitress Valeria was awesome with us and helped us translate when we needed to do so. The Toast Golden Rose was amazing! Yes the church bells will wake you up! The church is literally right across the street! We originally thought this hotel was in Rothenburg and it is not, but it was a pleasant surprise for us! Not sure we'd stay again because of the room we'd have to stay in but it was overall a great experience!

A rose which brings comfort and charm.

We found this to be a wonderfully comfortable, charming and accommodating hotel in the middle of a fairy tale town. As we were travelling with a group with varied German skills, the front desk was able to assist us in fluent English as well and they had a good sense of humour to make the check-in process more welcoming. The room was very comfortable with interesting furniture within a lovely neighbourhood proximal to Biergaerten and shopping. The breakfast was also quite good and we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Although there is no elevator within the building, this actually adds to the historic ambience of the building and cuts down on the noise within the Gasthaus. I will definitely return to the Goldene Rose during my next trip to Dinkelsbuehl!

An old and classical hotel, which is quite unique. Speed of Wifi is slow.

The Golden Rose of Dinkelsbuhl

An ancient hotel in Dinkelsbuhl -- very historic and right in the middle of town. Highly recommended.

We found most things about the hotel to be good. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly. The only thing which was a problem for us personally was that if you didn't like noodles, dumplings or spatzle, then there wasn't a lot of choice on the menu. However, we had no complaint whatsoever about the quality of the food that we did get. The breakfast was great.
