Stayed at Westgate Towers for 1 night before we met our family for a week at Disney. Nice large 1 bedroom suite, with full kitchen & dining room. This is in a time-share resort, so there are a lot of activities should you plan an extended stay. Most people would find that 1000 sq. ft. provides ample room to stretch out and with the Queen size pull-out couch, 2 kids are easily accommodated. Great to have 2 bathrooms. Easy access to Disney Animal Kingdom and others on the west side of Disney property. Being on US192 allows for a tremendous choice of restaurants. Will stay here again for a return visit to Disney.

Stay Away from Westgate Resort

Posted Jan 15, 2018
I first walk in and the floor is covered in water. The mini fridge door was left cracked open and the ice melted in freezer. No big deal so i wipe it up. The room smelled damp and old. The walls are super thin so you hear everything in rooms on the sides of you. I had the luxury of hearing 8 early 20's thugs party all night and trash talk the girls that randomly arrived while they continuously went out on the first floor porch to smoke weed. No big deal except the smell radiated to my room. It was OK though as once they went to bed at 4am I got a solid 2 hours of sleep before I woke back up so I could enjoy my trip.... this place looks ok from outside amd. Ice pool area but everyone that was staying there was ghetto. I travel for a living and this is a 2 star hotel at best. STAY AWAY!

All of the employees were great and friendly! Super helpful! With directions to opening doors!! My kids loved the resort activities more than going to Disney’s Magic Kingdom!

Stinky room

Posted Jan 6, 2018
The hotel’s GM Carillo assigned our room that stinks like a skunk the first thing we walked into, then we thought that it might just be the insect spray, then the smell returned the next time when they cleaned up the room. Carillo didn’t fulfill our request to assign the room on top floor (6th floor). The worst was that the connecting room had people smoking inside the room and the smoke odor spread to our room. I was really upset because we aren’t smokers and I thought it’s a non smoking hotel. We had to put towels underneath the connecting door to try to stop the odor, but that didn’t help. Then the next few nights it smelled like Chinese food. We didn’t complain like we should of have, because we were there to sleep and shower, since we were mostly at Disney. Overall, the hotel was decent and accommodating.

Multiple bugs in room.

Posted Dec 26, 2017
Pros: Our feeling is that any bookings done groups like Expedia are given inferior rooms.
Cons: The management needs to be upfront on eligibility criteria for tours.
Location: The location was convenient , quite and near all Disney attractions.
1. There were multiple bugs in the room which would hide in crevices. Shot two video of the bugs in the room and is attached. this was informed to Expedia earlier and the property replied that it is very rare om their property. However the fact is that multiple bugs were found in the room which belays the claim of the property management. Sending photos of video as unable to send video. 2. Once we checked in we were directed to guest services who gave a sales talk and offered a tour of the premises with offer of breakfast /lunch and scheduled a time for the tour and collected $ 20 in cash as deposit. Copy attached.(Unable to attach the copy but will be pleased to mail it). At the appointed time were were informed about ineligibility and made us run around for over one hour to get our deposit back.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are glad that you were able to take advantage of our greatly located resort. First of all, we want to thank you for choosing us. We regret very much the inconveniences happened during your stay. We work with pages as Expedia and Booking, but we remind you that everything always depends on the reservation and the availability of the resort. Again, we apologize, the incident of the bugs is certainly something unusual in our properties.About the last situation, again it is something that is not common. Our missions is to offer our guests the best possible service. We truly hope that you will allow us the opportunity to provide you with a much better stay in the future! Nahi.

Location: Plenty of restaurants nearby, and, of course, easy access to Disney sites
Just in to meet up with relatives from out of state. All were impressed with rooms.

Nice Hotel/ Good Price

Posted Nov 18, 2017
We were in Orlando for 1 day and we just wanted a clean place to relax after a busy day. We were pleasantly surprised with the size and amenities in our room. First of all the cleanliness was very good. On top of that we didn't realize we were getting a hot tub with a waterfall faucet. Indulged. There was a separate room with a shower. The room also had a mini kitchen with a small bistro type table for eating. In addition, we had a nice outside balcony that overlooked the pool and cascading water. We got a last minute AARP rate which was more than reasonable. My husband said I did a great job in picking our hotel.

very misleading check in process-3 desks

Posted Nov 16, 2017
Pros: The room was roomy and beds were comfortable (only didn't like the fact that the tub was open to the rest of the room
Cons: bathroom privacy
Location: not too far from Disney but a little difficult to access
We were checking in after a very long day at Epcot and tried to check in. It took longer than what I have normally experienced, but then was sent to another desk for what I later learned was a sales pitch to take a tour of their vacation property. It was very misleading and shady. They said we got free breakfast and we just needed to give them $20 which would be refunded in the morning. I blindly signed an agreement to take a tour (remember I am very tired and ready to go to my room!). The next morning when I looked at the stapled paperwork (by design I'm sure), I realized what the free breakfast was all about and, even though they clearly intended to return the $20, I was sent to at least 4-5 different people and finally had to wait for an hour for gift shop to open. Also, I had to go to 3 different desks to check out--always being told I needed to go somewhere else. It was just an unpleasant experience.
