Polite staff. Dibin at reception very helpful to change my room immediately. Other security staff friendly and chatty. Swimming pool staff helpul and clean. Close to city centre walkeble distances mcdonald's open 24 hrs inside mall. Handy store on 3rd floor buy milk ans various options Restaurant on gound floor friendly staff and nice pastries Wifi access faster and convenient across the property. Recommended place to stay and visit Qatar for best amazing experience. Uber best option easy cheap and faster availability. Metro station closely 10 min walking distance and clean trains.

Good for the price
I stayed in the 3 bedroom suite. The rooms and living room were really spacious. The kitchen was separated, which was nice. The whole suite could use an update. It's just dated. The customer service, I thought, was pretty good.

This hotel is terrible. Customer service sucks! Can't recommend this hotel. I hate how they treat the guests.

We came in at 3:30 pm and still no available room. We had to wait for 30 minutes to get into the room. And staff cannot even tell us how long we are going to wait.

The stay went really well. We loved the spaceous unit and we were able to let friends come over to celebrate a party with us. The service of the attendants were really good too. However, there were TV’s but we couldnt access the channels. But other than that, the stay went really well.

So Disappointed , Old furniture ,dirty and no customer service at all. even you are guest ,the owner dont care and he can kick you out any time from any hotel facility he want to use and without any notice.

NICE SUITES WITH SOME WINDOWS HAVE CLOSED SEAVEW
VERY SAFE AREA .A CLOSE MALL WITH CINEMA IS NEARBY. LOCATION IS ACCEPTABLE. SUITES STAFF ARE COOPERATIVE. GOOD PLACE FOR FAMILIES AND A SHORT TIME.

Tired and dated Governor - not deserving of 4*s
Very tired and in need of a renovation. Towels were 'grey' and fraying. Bedsheets were tired with rips and holes. We had a 3 bedroom apartment for the weekend (5 of us) and were only given 2 towels; however staff were accommodating when asked. All equipment was tired or lacking - we had to ask for hairdryer (then first one was broken). Some Light fittings & sockets were broken and tired. When asked staff were reluctant to assist us in getting a taxi. We won't return.

The elevator is very busy and I was in 5th floor so I need 10-15 to get the elevator And their are problem with smoke from other room , when I was in my room I smel to much smoke from other room

Spacious but not meeting the standard
Not satisfied at all. I could not call this place a hotel. It is like a rented ordinary apartment. Construction job next door, hard to get towels, very small indoor swimming pool, interior of the Lift scratchy, etc. Apart from that location wise is near to city center, reasonable foods, and spacious.

Peanuts found in the living room rug. The terrace restaurant in complete darkness, had to request they light the lantern on the table at 9pm!

Adil the receptionist went great!
We reached the hotel by 8 am and our check in was around 3pm. Mr Adil the receptionist got the room ready and made sure we settled within 15 minutes. He did not charge a penny extra.

The second time i go to Governer and was great. I like it . The only problem was the AC was very coold and they tried to change it but nothing changed.

- tired rooms and chipped baths - loud A/C would roar anywhere it was on - poor staff service - getting a taxi is impossible and the limousine service is hardly there and then a rip-off

Great hotel, exceeded expectations.
Very nice hotel, very nice, spacious, clean room. Only issue was the windows not being fully sealed causing doors to chatter and you could hear the building work nearby, other than that lovely hotel and good value for money

The three bedroom suite was ok although bathrobe and hairdryer need to be requested.Some facilities were not working like sauna and steam room. Jacuzzi is small.

This is a trade off between quantity – great and generous – and quality – ok but not special. It is conveniently located near the city centre mall and financial district on the edge of the diplomatic area, and is probably ideal for a family. However, the business traveller may find a more conventional hotel, as the furnishings are pretty basic and it lacks warmth. However, it has a well equipped kitchen and the two bed flat is very spacious.

The apartments are absolutely fantastic. the rooms are clean and well maintained. the room service was quick and the food was pretty tasty too. i dint have a chance to use the pool and the spa but it looked impressive.

Just perfect room and perfect service!
Me and my 9 other members stayed in the residence for about a week and we all had great time there. One of the reception staff upgraded 2 Two-bedroom suites to Three-bedroom suites for free since there was no twin beds, and reception staff were smart and they knew what they have to do for us. The suites are all clean, huge and well-decorated. They even provided us comlimentary bottled water everyday so we did not have to buy extra bottled water. The breakfast was great and the restaurant staff was ready to cook omelettes and bake pancakes. On the lobby, they provided their traditional tea and sweets for free. If I visit Qatar again, I will definitely stay here again!

Great value for the money
The Governor Suites is a nice, clean hotel that is conveniently located in the West Bay area. We had a huge 3-bedroom suite for a very reasonable price. The suite included a full kitchen and washer and dryer which was an added bonus. Definitely an excellent option for a larger group or family.

Great hotel, they gave me a 3-bedroom suite with an amazing view, fantastic. However, hotel staff are very unhelpful, they don't smile at all, don't care about the customer needs, not supportive at all.....really a waste of a great hotel with such staff!!!
