“Overall, our experience at Barcelo was good. The restaurants were great, the resort is stunning, very clean, etc. However, there are things that could be worked on that could make it better. I did feel like the service could’ve been a bit better. Normally at other hotels we stayed at in Cancun the servers working the pool area constantly asked how they can help you. “More comfortable beds. Place was great clean, nice neighborhood quiet. Wonderful area love all the convenience of the place in PA . But definitely needs comfortable mattresses. Loved the host. ”

“I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the Maya Palace. While the property itself is beautiful, the overall experience fell far below expectations. The biggest issue was the cleanliness and maintenance. Common areas and parts of the resort often felt neglected, and our room wasn’t consistently cleaned to the standard you’d expect from a resort of this caliber. We also dealt with maintenance issues that took far too long to be addressed. Like our room AC that we called in 3 different times……

“This was our 2nd trip to Hard Rock R. Maya. I was disappointed to say the least, overall it was not very clean, especially the swimming pools; pools were disgusting. The staff was not very helpful, and less attentive than I have experienced at other Hard Rocks. “The food options have decreased since we went 4 years ago. There are only 3 restaurants, so you end up eating at the same one multiple nights. That would be fine if the menu had more options, but each one only has 3 or 4 options on the main selection. “The property is right on the beach! We were unable to get in the water and use a lot of the amenities, like paddle boards, due to the sargassum (which is on every beach in the Riviera Maya). The restaurant staff were very attentive and the breakfast was good. They made us a to go meal on our last day. There is no other choice for meals in the area, so you need a car if you want to eat elsewhere. Taxis were $400-450 Mex pesos for a one way ride to the nearest village. You get 1 bottle of water……
