Welcoming jungle retreat!Posted Aug 23, 2015 on Hotels
Excelent service and cute bungalows. We loved the breakfast area/bar, which had views of the jungle and the ocean. This was a great first stop on our Costa Rican road trip!

Hotel in the Forest and near River, close to HighwPosted Aug 7, 2015
Its a bit close not too close to the Highway, you hear Trucks sometime but not as load as Birds, insects and HowlerMonkeys. You can hike on your own along the river to the beach. Nice Pool next to terrace where breakfast is served. We liked it, but just spent one night on our way to Osa. Cabins are located in Garden with lots of large Trees and plants, i.e. its a bit dark in the rooms, like it or not. Breakfast Buffet was good.

Lovely hotel & restaurant!Posted Jul 22, 2015 on Hotels
We had a great experience at this hotel. We weren't sure we'd find it (because of the minimal address given), but the signs were well marked and led us right to the hotel. The service at the hotel was wonderful. The employees checking us in were extremely friendly and helpful. While the rooms were minimal, they were clean and adequately equipped, with internet, AC and hot water. They were a little close to the highway, but we requested a different room, and they eagerly let us move up higher toward the back of the property. Each cabin-style room had its own private porch, with a double door opening directly into the sleeping area. This created a bit of an issue for spiders and insects coming into the room, but wasn't too bad. The hotel had a lovely pool, with a common sitting area overlooking the ocean. It had a beautiful view! One of the best parts of our stay here was the restaurant. The free breakfast was lovely, but the dinner menu was superb. One of the best meals we had during our 2 week stay in Costa Rica. We highly recommend the restaurant and the hotel!

Agreable momentPosted May 2, 2015 on Hotels
Facile à trouver. Très bon accueil. Diner excellent-vivement recommandé. Tres bonne adresse. Seul bémol proximite de la route mais il y a tellement de bruits d'oiseaux et singes que cela est moins gênant

Hotel war letzte Station unserer CR-Rundreise und war zur Erholung und zum Baden im eigenen Pool traumhaft.

perfect for the pricePosted Apr 5, 2015 on Hotels
pros: excellent location in/near Uvita/Playa Ballenas, breakfast included, nice swimming pool, incredibly patient and helpful staff, lovely grounds cons: rooms are a bit small, on-site restaurant is a bit pricey (but tasty), rooms advertised with multiple beds include a very small twin bed - more suitable for a child than an adult. bottom line: we paid around $75/night, which made this hotel a total win, but a higher rate would have felt overpriced.

4 days in tropical paradisePosted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: Basically everything. My absolute favorite was the exceptional service of Diego at the front desk. His local tips and suggestions are not to be missed
Cons: a s mall fridge in each room would be nice and the room safes are in need of replacing.
Location: Waterfalls, snorkeling and mangrove tour, Buroca indigenous village, beaches, beaches, beaches, sunsets photo ops.
Fabulous relaxed and beautiful cabinas facing the privacy of a jungle paradise. Sitting on the very large decks and enjoying the sights and sounds and a glass of vino - well seriously could it be better - YES. The paths leading up to the open air restaurant to a fabulous meal that entices the senses before you even arrive. The on-site restaurant has a wonderful menu of varied options including vegitarian delights. Then following a scrumptious dinner a walk up the paths further leads to the beautiful pool and terrace area. Over looking the ocean and jungle with sunsets and warm breezes is a great way to relax after a meal I think. The pool and terrace area are immaculately kept and the warm pool water was always a welcoming option for a refreshing and relaxing dip after a tough day of site seeing and souvenier hunting.
