Beautiful location and hotel, room like a sauna!Posted Dec 10, 2015
Pros: A beautiful hotel and the breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Sort out the heating in the courtyard rooms and sort out the paving alongside the courtyard to ensure that no puddles can accumulate.
Location: Nice walks in the vicinity, visit Donegal town, go to St. John's Point.
We had a one night stay at the hotel. Everything was as you would expect for a hotel of this standard and the location is wonderful close to the lake with forest and lake walks. We were in a courtyard room and there was torrential rain during our stay which meant we got wet during our trips to and from the main hotel, also puddles had formed on pathway which resulted in our feet getting wet as well. The major issue with our stay was with the underfloor heating in the room which appeared to be stuck on maximum. We had to open doors and windows to get relief from the heat - it must have been at least 35 degrees, very uncomfortable! We know from other friends staying in these rooms that the heat was oppressive in their rooms as well.

Location was quiet and peaceful.Posted Nov 30, 2015
Pros: Location, swimming pool and spa facilities.
Cons: Maybe price.
Location: Walk in the forest was nice but it was raining heavy. Donegal Town is near by for arts and crafts and shopping in general.
I totally enjoyed my stay in Lough Eske. Staff was friendly, rooms very comfortable and clean, every need was seen to. Would go back.

Beautiful castle hotel but definitely over priced.Posted Nov 22, 2015
Was a lovely break away such beautiful grounds to walk around and great friendly & helpful staff. The room was amazing and so clean. I have stayed in a lot of hotels which were just as nice so thought it was too over priced and would stay again if cheaper as £200 for one night stay is a bit much.

i can't even put into words the amount of things that went wrong from start to finish faulty towers would of been better! My partners birthday totally ruined I've never felt so let down by a hotel/management

Wonderful stayPosted Nov 1, 2015 on Hotels
Best last decision I ever made. Casual country elagance. Beautiful setting, and really enjoyed ending our day with a glass of wine in cozy sitting room by the fire. Staff was very friendly and Peter ( not sure what his title is) spent extra time with us giving suggestions and directions.
