With in walking distance to Tianmen Square

Posted Aug 23, 2017
The hotel is located inside an old Beijing Neighborhood, which may be hard to find for quite some people. However, if you walk around the hotel, you can get some good taste of "old" Beijing day-to-day life. The location is super good as many local attractions, Tianmen Square, Forbidden City, Wangfujing Shopping District, etc.are within walking distance.

Hostel close to Forbidden City

Posted Jul 23, 2017
Pros: The hotel is in a walking distance to the Forbidden City and to Tiananmen Square.
Cons: The rooms need to be painted, the beds to be upgraded and the bathrooms need to be renovated. Plus, turn off some of the night lights outside.
Location: We walked to the Forbidden City and to Tiananmen Square, as well as to the newest restaurant and shopping areas nearby.
Jade Hotel is a hostel that was upgraded on paper to a 3-star hotel. Don't expect much. The two bed rooms are very small. The bathroom was a big disappointment: a curtain separates the shower from the rest of the bathroom and there is a hole in the floor for drainage. The conditions are minimum.

Pros: I love the 2xUSB wall socket.
Cons: More wall sockets.
Location: Many restaurants and Wangfujing pedestrian shopping street all within 10 minutes walking distant.
Stayed for 5 nights, bed never been tidy up, dirty hand/bath towels, limited wall socket, I love the 2xUSB wall socket. Acceptable wifi speed, need to resend message with picture using WhatsApp numerous of times. Many restaurants and Wangfujing pedestrian shopping street all within 10 minutes walk. FYI, the elevator does not reach 5th floor of the building. Nearest subway station Wangfujing and Dengshikou approximately 15+ minutes walk.

Cheap hotel near to all the attractions

Posted Apr 19, 2017
We had problem finding the hotel because the name of the hotel is different from that on the website, otherwise it's not a problem. Restaurant's food is cheap and quite good but was disappointed with their buffet breakfast- would prefer more western food. On the other hand, we can't complain because it's value for money; only RMB18/25 per pax. The bedsheets, pillowcases and towels are old and some were torn. There is no aircon, only heater, even though the air was warm. We had to open the window. There is also no fridge in the room.
