This is a great hotel for visitors to Beijing. I received a free upgrade to a spacious and comfortable room. It's convenient to the Wangfujing shopping street, the Forbidden city, and the metro system.

Location, location, location...

Literally down the street from Wangfujing Street. Access to subway line 5 which is a true North/South line, no loop! Walk to Oriental Plaza and hop on the #1 Line. Next door and shouting distance from world renowned hotels in case you want to see how the well heeled dwell. A busy street if you don't mind crowds. Staff is very business-like, but they guide you. The gents at the concierge are the icing on the cake.

Good hotel but a lot outdated

Posted Nov 23, 2017
I paid around120$ and when checked in, I was told that I could be given a room only in the old part of the hotel. For the new part I was asked to pay an extra 40$ And so I did not change the room. The room was spacious but with stained old carpets, a bad and uncomfortable bed which was hard, a small and totally outdated TV, a just ok bathroom with all the wood door falling apart or cracked. The breakfast was not bad but average considering the quality of the hotel. Location is outstanding and quite close to the Forbidden city and APM mall.

Nice clean hotel. Not far from shops and Subway

Posted Nov 23, 2017
Pros: Clean. Reception and information people speak good English.
Cons: Even though the government have banned all smoking in the hotel, it still occurs. On a few nights I had to put a towel under the door.
Location: One street away from Wangfujing shopping street, plenty of eating areas nearby. Subway not far.
Hotel not a long walk to quite a few things. Everyone there speaks English and very willing to help with enquiries.

Great location, great food, good conditions

Posted Nov 13, 2017
Pros: Food
Cons: Wifi
Location: There is a shopping mall just in front of the hotel.
Best buffete if you are Mexican or Latinamerican (beans, bread, eggs, etc). Very close to shopping and to forbidden city. The rooms are not to luxury but are clean, comfortable and have enough space for travelers. Wifi is not good as in most of China, you better get a SIM card with a local phone in order to stay connected.

Nice hotel in best part of town.

Posted Nov 1, 2017
Great location and relatively inexpensive. Staff speaks no English but we managed to get by. Furnishings are aging but clean and cared for. The mattress was too firm for us. Neighboring hotels are twice the price, so I would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel near Forbidden City.

Posted Sep 27, 2017
Pros: It was within walking distance of some of the key attractions and it has an airport shuttle right out front.
Cons: Wi-fi, room size, and include a mini-refrigerator to keep drinks cold.
Location: It is very close to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the metro stops, and Wangfujing Street shopping area.
The hotel is really a no-frills type of hotel. The room was small but it worked for me. The Wi-Fi was terrible and some web-sites were inaccessible, however, I believe that is more due to the government censorship than due to the hotel. Aside from these two things, I would stay there, again. It was nice enough. The staff was very friendly and spoke english very well. It is also walking distance from the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. It is also conveniently located near the pedestrian shopping street and subway stations. In addition, the airport shuttle stops right in front of the hotel.
