For attending donggwan fair this is a good location hotel The breakfast is good and if you are okay to pay 30$ for the open buffet dinner you will enjoy a wide range of good food on the hotel open buffet or you can order your own from the restaurant on the right side of the reception Shower is good , bed is comfortable , carpets are old and kind of dirty , stuff are nice and specking basic English enough to serve the customers I felt very safe on this area and I will stay on this hotel again as long as Im in business trip

Harriway - a great place to stay
Of three business trip to the area this was the best place to stay so far. One other was more elegant and a bit nicer suite but certainly did not provide better value overall. The Harriway was very convenient for transfer from Hong Kong airport in that a bus from HKG has a stop right at the Harriway. Lots to do within a few minutes walk from the hotel, and it was a very convenient location for my business needs. Great restaurants available inside the hotel. Will definitely make this hotel my regular location for future trips.

Great place
Great hot breakfast buffet included in most room rates. English spoken. Lounge open late with live entertainment. Close to downtown, subway station and shopping mall. HK airport shuttle picks up and drops off here

I usually stay at Haiyatt Garden Hotel, when I stay overnight for business trips in Dong Guan area. Comfortable and Clean rooms, with good bar and friendly staff.

A no brainer for shoe dogs

Used to be one of the best hotel in Houjie, now it's run down and poor staff service. When walked in the lobby smells and room are dirty with old carpet

The gym bikes are TERRIBLE, bordering on dangerous. Treadmills looked better but I can't use. Weights and the rest of the equipment is 1990 vintage-> in need of serious refresh. Floor in room was so dirty, I called the made for a vacuum, it cleaned up the top layer of grime. Hotel has taken a step backwards over the last few years. Irene's across the lane is always a nice reason to be here, but ultimately, when in Houjie there are better choices. I think the breakfast buffet is 4.5/5-> good job there. Fix the gym-> buy some some vacuum cleaners that work for the maids and I'll be back.

Nice business stay at haiyatt Garden Hotel Houjie
Stayed at Haiyatt Garden Hotel in Houjie China on business trip, is a nice hotel well located with nice facilities. Rooms are of good size and nice and clean, personnel very attentive and ready to help on any request. Buffet breakfast is varied and plentiful and has western and Chinese food as well. hotel is an hour away to Guangzhou and about 2 hours from Hong Kong. Hotel offers transportation to Hong Kong Airport or Kowloon, around US$ 15.00 On my next visit will stay again.

it's ok for the price and location
The hotel is run down and getting old. I had to change rooms 3 times because AC didnt work in one and smelled like smoke in the other, but the staff upgraded me after my second request and the room was ok. It's cheap compared to neighboring hotels and the food is decent. If they renovate the hotel it would be a hit because location is perfect if you want to be in Houjie.

I went when they are still doing construction. This makes the area around very dusty and dirty. Also for the same price I suggest the Sheraton down the street. It still can not compare to international chain.

Okay, average, but cheap I guess.
Overall was a nice stay. It's just that it is an old hotel and the rooms, lobby also have that old smell. I really couldn't get used to it for 3 days. I wanted to try the Japanese restaraunt for dinner, and went there after the working hour but for some reason they were closed for the whole 3 nights I've stayed. I asked the front desk, but did not receive why they were closed.
