Awesome place!
We loved everything about Waters Edge B&B! The room was the Nautical theme and was beautifully decorated. I was thrilled with all the attention to detail: the decor, the very comfy bed, the beautiful tub and big bathroom. The views of the lake are spectacular and the sound of the waves lulled me to sleep. We will be back!

This property is literally feet from Lake Michigan. It was a beautiful view at all times of the day. Also, Kari and Mike's breakfasts were delicious, and they fostered a great sense of hospitality among all of the breakfasters each morning.

Great place, reasonable price, on the water
Lovely honeymoon suite, watched the sunrise over Lake Michigan from the bed. Sitting just above the water, enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony. Breakfast was hot and delicious. Hosts were friendly, easy going, down to earth and accommodating. Great place to stay and travel up to Door Co. Fireplace, jetted 2 person tub, spacious room with cutsy decor.

Enjoyed the Bed and Breakfast
The property did not disappoint. The themed rooms was an added bonus. The property was clean and well maintained. The hosts were so fun and accommodating. The breakfast was the best part- don't skip it. We met the others that were staying and shared stories, suggested places to visit, and local eateries that were a must see! This was my sister's first experience of a bed and breakfast...she is now super excited to return and experience more!

Fantastic breakfasts, clean rooms, excellant location, spectacular view, the sound of the waves at night to sooth your soul. Great owners with intimate knowledge of the area. Go to Moes in Rio Creek for great atmosphere, delicious food and great prices!

Secluded Hideaway
Dave and Kari are friendly accommodating hosts. The view was spectacular and truly is on the Waters Edge. Didn’t realize the room was not air conditioned, but did cool off sufficiently overnight.

Thanks for your review, as I've said for 16 years, the lake is our a/c!! Even in July, you need a jacket in Algoma as its normally 10 degrees cooler than 3 miles outside of town.... Weird!!

It really is an awesome experience. The lake...the view.. the sounds of the waves. Only thing that i was disappointed in was our ceiling fan didnt work. But the breeze from the lake helped :)

The Perfect Bed & Breakfast on Lake Michigan
We always wanted to stay at a bed and breakfast, but never found the perfect one in our travels, we also wanted to see the fall colors in Door County and never had. Then we came along the prefect bed and breakfast at the gateway to Door County and it made for the PERFECT FALL GETAWAY. This could not have been a better place to stay for our fall getaway. The sun rise over Lake Michigan was beautiful!!! We left our windows open at night to the relaxing sound of the waves crashing, it made for great sleep. The food was delicious and the hospitality second to none. One perk to us was it is an adults only location so that made it even more relaxing to us. There is also a fire pit next to lake to enjoy. We will 100% be returning here for another stay.

We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts and this one had the absolute best view of Lake Michigan that we’ve experienced. I was upset by the impersonal check in when we arrived and just found a note - but the amazing hostess and breakfast/conversation by far made up for this! Thanks for a great stay!!!! View of the lake is great. Decor in Hollywood room is tacky. Pink paint in the bathroom, a little mold on the bottom of the shower curtain. Toilet seat was loose. There was a general dustiness to many of the surfaces. Lighting is all lamps, so it's not the easiest to navigate when arriving at night. There are lamps clamped to the headboard of the bed. The furniture is all of cheap make. The dresser was the nicest piece, but there were handles missing on 2 of the drawers.

Hello.... Sorry you didn't like your hollywood room, but it is the least expensive of all of our rooms. We have updated the bed in the past months along with the bathroom floor. We will be updating more in 2022.

There is contactless checkin. The owners are friendly and try to include everyone. Also the other guests were nice. Breakfast is served promptly at 8:00 and there is something new every morning. That being said, except for the pastries and fruit it is not a la carte. One day, I did not like the blueberry French toast and the owner offered to make eggs. I did not want to be a bother so I declined. The Hollywood room is nothing special. It is by the dining room which I thought would be a problem. Since people are usually only there for breakfast, it was not noisy. The room did not have a closet and linens are not freshened during your stay. The bathroom has soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. The down side is that every move you make in the bathtub it creaks. Makes me think it was cheaply installed. If I were to go again, I would stay in the Music room as there is more privacy. Everyone walks by the Hollywood room to access the deck and beach area. There were a few repeat guests so others must be pleased with the accommodations.

Thanks you for taking them time to write a review... Not sure what else we could have done to earn a 5 star review (as most reviews are). There is no way we can do an a la carte breakfast for 14. As for fresh linens, just ask/text as is noted on your check in sheet. Hope you return and we can get that 5 star review!! In addition, put a note in your reservation about not wanting blueberry.... I work our menu around requests if I can!

The hosts Dave and Kari were very friendly and accomodating. I was unaware that the facility did not have air conditioning. The units do have ceiling fans, however, I suffer from hot flashes, so Dave brought over a box fan for me. Kari's breakfasts and coffee were delicious and her conversations were enjoyable. The best part of our stay was the views!! You can't go wrong with any of the rooms, as they all have spectacular views of the lake and sunrises!!

2 nights on the lake
Had a great stay at this B&B. Dave and Kari are wonderful hosts and the view from the deck is fantastic. Breakfast was very good and the other guests were a treat to talk to. No A/C but the nighttime breezes make you pull up a blanket anyway.

Hey mark, thank you so much for your review!! Its always hard to explain that you need a jacket/blanket in the summer. Not only the lake breeze, Algoma is always cooler than the surrounding towns, its like we live in a huge bubble!!

We were right on the lake and it was beautiful! The room was clean and we had our own bathroom, a mini fridge, and a microwave. Breakfast was great and it was fun visiting with the other guests. We were right on the outskirts of Algomaso it was easy to get to area attraction.

Beautiful and peaceful place
It was such a beautiful, peaceful setting, and we very much enjoyed our stay though it was too short. It is a wonderful escape from reality. The owner was very helpful when we were stuck in Chicago for our first night due to a rental car agreement not being honored combined with a flight running late. I cannot speak for breakfast because we don't eat sweets for breakfast, but Weinke's farm nearby was an awesome stop with yummy home-baked bread and locally-made jerky along with cherries and other products to take home to friends. BYO Keurig or tea bags if you want in-room drinks @ times other than 6:30-8:30 a.m. Mugs were available.

Sorry you couldn't figure out the RV, we have printed directions or you could just ask! As for a/c, the lake is our air conditioner. Also, our rooms aren't set up for 3 ppl....

The room was nice and large with plenty of space. A nice large bathroom. Breakfast was amazing! Specially prepared fresh each morning. The view was terrific from the large deck right outside the room. We had a great stay. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Thank you.
