Nice location, close to the harborPosted Oct 19, 2015
The deluxe room was worth the extra cost. Clean, right on water. Friday fish dinner quite good. Very friendly staff. Stayed in a basic room years ago and left early because of less than acceptable room condition. This stay was worth another try!

Charming, perfect location, just rightPosted Oct 7, 2015
Pros: Clean, comfortable, quiet, great bar and great food!
Cons: Some "newer" finishes would be a nice improvement. However, if it raised the price, it wouldn't be an improvement.
Location: A little far from the traditional Door County experiences, but not a bad drive to see and do what you want to see and do. It was perfect for me!
It is not the W. It is not a corporate experience. It is a little tattered, but very clean. The staff is the best ever! I was unsure how I would feel about the "resort" concept since there appeared to be nothing resort-ish about the single story, plain looking facade. However, I now have to reconsider everything I thought about resorts. The bar was delightful, the live music was spectacular, the food was excellent, the service was great, the staff was charming, and there are boating options galore and even a beach right on Sturgeon Bay. I have spent a lot more and gotten a lot less in Door County. I will be staying here again! Oh, and I forgot to mention the facility is not only dog friendly, it is dog embracing. This was great because it allowed me to take my best hiking buddy. The resort is right next to Potawatamy State Park and the Hemlock hiking trail. Beautiful!

Location: Sturgeon Bay--great waterfront, ship building area. Excellent marine museum.
It is a pleasant place-a little far from the action. The rooms are decent, roomy and clean. Breakfast is about the only thing I would complain about. Just carbs--cereal, bread products and yogurt. After the first morning, we just went elsewhere. This was a scouting trip for us to learn about Door County. Next time we will try to stay at Ephraim. The bar was fun--it's a local bar and watching the Green Bay game with rabid fans was exciting, especially the full bar rendition of "The Bears Still Suck." (We're from Illinois.)

Good experiencePosted Oct 4, 2015
Pros: Scenic location, reasonable rates, fun bar/restaurant.
Cons: Dank, musty smell in hotel hallway.
Location: Would be a lot of fun in the summer for a relaxing getaway. Door county sightseeing, maritime museum, and boating/fishing.
Was completely adequate for my group of employees. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, and nearby restaurant/bar served us well.

Beds were comfy and walking out to see the sunrise and dip my toes in the beach was nice as well as being able to walk and get a drink right next door.

Is a basic older motel by waterfront. Based on price in area it is adequate but definitely not a premium motel

Door County VacationPosted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: The atmosphere among staff and guests was one of relaxation and family. Everyone, however busy was pleasant at all times.
Cons: No improvements needed
Location: It was a beautiful location. Our room was very quiet in spite of the live entertainment. We enjoyed the fish boil, live entertainment and restaurant
It was only a 4 day vacation. We arrived on Friday and left on Monday. The front desk staff person was very friendly and informed us of the weekend activities.

It was a fun place to stay, nice bar and restaurant right on the water. The rooms were damp.
