Jeffrey: Thank you for staying with us on your recent visit here. Our front desk hours during the fall for Sunday through Thursday are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. later in the fall. Fridays 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. We have longer hours May through October. We are a small property so at times our front desk staffer does step out to assist other guests or for other tasks. They are supposed to leave the sign on the desk regarding that and a note pad in the event we miss you or you aren't able to wait, so we can follow up. You can always contact our front desk during the above hours and leave a message if they are tied up with another guest and aren't able to answer. We will always return the call as soon as possible. We do have housekeeping on property everyday and at check in our procedure is to ask if you want stay-over service and if not we instruct the guest that we have light hampers in the bedroom or bathroom for dirty towels and if you call and let us know before 11:00 a.m. that you have dirty towels we will pick them up. We also explain that we do not automatically replace whatever is in the hamper since that does not tell us what if anything additional you may need. Therefore a phone call to our front desk during hours lets us know if you need any replacements which we will bring to your room. We unfortunately do not have a manager's residence on the property, but the manager is able to be contacted on the overnight phone number that is posted and provided at check in. I apologize that your toilet clogged and you were not able to contact our front desk or did not call our overnight phone to assist you. We are a small property and are not able to offer 24 hour service, as much as we would like and I apologize for that. We appreciate your feedback and hope you will give us another chance.

Leanne: Thank you for staying with us and I am sorry it was not what you expected. Our staff works very hard to be as helpful as possible and to make our rooms as clean, comfortable and relaxing as we can. Also thank you for providing your feedback it is helpful to us and we care to hear about our guests experience. We have two Fireplace Studios which both have: king bed, large whirlpool tub, fireplace, kitchenette and water views with the better view had by the 2nd floor unit. The rooms are larger than the standard hotel room but they are much smaller than our 1-bedroom condo style units. The 2nd floor Fireplace Studio/Honeymoon Studio does have a veranda. Unit 116 does not and there is no room for a patio or other area to place chairs in front of the unit. We do have the large waterfront area and also have other areas for guests to relax. Our seasonal pool is also available as well as our private beach and dock for this unit and all of our units. It is very close to the Post Office restaurant which is open Mid-May to end of October and they do serve breakfast, no lunch and at dinner they have 2 to 3 fish boils performed in the back, except none on Sunday. They do have patio seating which is close to Unit 116 and that seating depends on the weather and if they have the waitstaff to seat the patio dining area. When booking at a small hotel with many different room types, it is best to contact them directly to make sure you are able to book the exact type of room you wanted. That is a pitfall of booking online through any online booking site. Representatives from other places do not know our rooms very well and our front desk staff who make our reservations do. The unit you you did book online is much lower in price than the other 1-bedroom condo units on our property and even with the condo units there are several different prices and amenities and locations. We do have a Hotel Traditional room which is very small and has a queen bed but does have the large veranda and better water view. Again I apologize your stay was not what you expected and if you do give us another chance, please contact us directly to make sure you get the room you wanted. Best to you and your future travels.
