Not up to typical U.S. standards

Posted Jan 14, 2018
Pros: Low nightly rate. If I were in PR for fun, I would have loved the cove beach on the property. Looked like a great place to swim.
Cons: Hire backup staff. and buy desks for the guest rooms, and install new doors between rooms that block cigarette smoke from entering the next-door room.
The front desk clerk was late to open the front desk on the day that I checked out, so i couldn't get a copy of my invoice and my parking ticket wasn't working either. I saw the front desk clerk driving entering the parking lot when I was driving out at around 8:00 or 8:15 am. I have never been to Puerto Rico before, so I don't know if this is typical operation for Puerto Rico, but I certainly was disappointed that they couldn 't get a substitute during the absence o the front desk clerk.. This might be symptom of the lingering problems of the hurricane Maria that I would expect might have resulted in a lot of layoffs at hotels in Puerto Rico. The rooms don't have desks either, just a little ledge about 2 square feet in area, which is 'sufficient' but just barely.

Stay away from the second floor!!!

Posted Jan 4, 2018
The hotel is nice and shares and excellent pool with the Embassy Suites on the same premises. The Embassy breakfast and afternoon alcohol reception is not included at Aquarius. I stayed at room 2252 and there was a really strong smell of food coming from below. I complained immediately at front desk and they did nothing. The hotel kitchen must be in that area because next day we had the same problem with the stench started at the middle of the aisle all the way thru inside the rooms. They also charge $14.50 DAILY for the parking.

This is my second time in this property. The hotel is not bad and is located in a good area, however you can find a better and newer hotels for less. Plus, I can't understand how they charge almost 15 per day in parking fee. Old sheets and overall cleanliness is not the best.

Great Hotel

Posted Sep 5, 2017
Nice facilities very close to the beach. They need a renovation in order to be a 4-5 star. But is a great hotel. We had a great time with my family.

Pros: security , family oriented
Cons: housekeeping
Location: Dorado is a quaint little town west of old san juan , very safe . has some 24 hour grocery nearby and lots of good restaurants plus the beach .
must have a car when you go here, it is inside a residential area but pretty nice.

RUDE FRONT DESK. WATCH OUT FOR HIDDEN FEES

Posted Aug 15, 2017
Pros: THE POOL
Cons: CUSTOMER SERVICE, ROOM UPDATES, DIRTY RUGS, THE A/C WAS DRIPPING WATER.
Location: NOTHING TO DO
WATCH OUT FOR HIDDEN FEES. PLEASE STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. I WAS CHARGED 2 SEPARATE CHARGES AND WHEN I CALLED TO ASKED ABOUT THE CHARGES NOBODY KNEW ANYTHING I SPOKE TO MARIA AND YADIRA BOTH WERE CLUELESS AND RUDE. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. FRONT DESK WORKERS NEED TO LEARN FLUENT ENGLISH.

Thank you for your feedback, we do apologize for the inconvenience. During check in we would do an incidental hold, the hold it is void during check out and the bank will release it 5-7 business days, it is not a hidden fee.
