I like the area, the breakfast and the food of the restaurant and the beach. What I didn't like: The pool need to update and the building should be renovated. I have bad experience with one of the bartender of the restaurant in the pool area. I bought a drink, whiskey with coconut water. I paid $13.38. I asked to him to add a little more whiskey because the drink tasted like coconut water only and he refused and asked for an extra of $5.00 to add whiskey to the drink. I felt cheated.

Staying at Embassy suites Dorado was very enjoyable. The pools were great and the beach was enjoyable. Parking was easy and it was great to be in a gated community for our first visit to Puerto Rico.

Gorgeous view the pool area is amazing the easy access on the beach is a plus my issue with this resort is the rooms are dated and falling apart, the elevator buttons hardly work, the jacuzzi wasn’t working, the breakfast was mediocre, this was the only resort I’ve ever had where I needed to get ahold of the front desk more than once because of issues with the room or parking and it was more than 3 times, the lobby area is amazing with the koi pond that wraps around into a seating area the pool is huge and beautiful but too many minor issues that adds on making the vacation a little unpleasant or inconvenience

Lunch and early dinner steered to the pool bar. Extremely slow and impersonal. Pool bar mgr. seemed put out by having to take drink and food orders. Most employees were friendly and respectful.

The first night the hotel had no hot water and the front desk supervisor Joshua told me to shower with Cold water, that it was very normal and that he showers like that. That I could still go on with my plans by simply showering with cold water. That he had no other rooms and that I was more than welcome to leave to another hotel.

Lovely place. Hotel is located in gated area (which depending who is guarding - you are asked who you are and where you are going). Location was convenient for us.

Nice hotel, but nothing spectacular. Everything was clean and the staff were nice. The shop inside the hotel was closed our entire stay which was a disappointment because we would have shopped there for multiple things we needed throughout our stay. Restaurant food was very good. Pool area was very enjoyable.

The room had no hand soap until we asked for it. No washcloths until we asked for them. Shower flooded and the pool has jagged broken pieces of tile on the bottom. I was so disappointed I cancelled my other night and switched hotels

First - the staff on duty when we came in, didn’t have our reservation any more. They were supposedly completely booked. BUT my husband called and told them: due to our flights getting messed up and rebooked, we wouldn’t be in on Thursday BUT WE WILL on Friday. Keep our reservation -unfortunately they didn’t. After jerking us around and trying to say my husband didn’t call, they finally got us a room. It was more than the one I had reserved but it did have a great ocean/pool view. For the most part - the staff and all were nice. It was the night manager and his other employee that weren’t very friendly at first or even helpful AT ALL. My husband and I travel a lot - we know how to be polite, friendly, respectful and very understanding. This took the cake of royal screw ups. It cost us more than we intended on paying for our original room. It just put a bad taste in our mouth.

The hotel charges as it is the best Embassy Suites in the world with a stiff resort fee. The hotel is tired. The breakfast is not good at all. The beach on the ocean is terrible.

The was water dripping from the ceiling in the hallway. They had buckets around the hotel collecting the water. Paint from the ceiling were falling down. Our room floor was wet every day they had to bring a fan in to dry it. We were told the AC was dripping. If we wanted a dry floor we had to kept the fan on all day/ night. They did not have another room to put us in. At the pool they were no towels. The door to the beach did not work on our last day. I was locked out of the hotel and had to wait to staff to let us back in. I would not suggest staying here

There was not enough staff. Front desk, concierge and bellman very nice. Very old and run down. Broken beach chairs, ripped carpets, housekeeping came at 4 or 5 when we trying to get ready to go out. It’s just a tired place. Hot tub was kinda gross, beach are and pool were very nice. Bedding was a little hard and pillows were lumpy.

Bathroom shower sound like fog horn when you turn on the water. Decor from bathroom is from the 1960’s, need to remodel and upgrade the shower. The hotel living room was dark and cold. Would not recommend to my friends.

First night upon arrival the toilet was leaking. Took two days to fix it. Was promised room change but never happened. Front room tv was broke told them twice a day each day and it never got fixed. Dining the workers have bad attitudes and poor customer service except one lady forgot to get her name. If you’re dining in don’t expect them to greet you or bring your drinks and food to your table. Other than that nice resort, pricey and needs updating.

I would strongly advise against choosing this hotel for your stay. Upon my late arrival, I encountered numerous issues, including a musty odor, outdated furnishings, and rusty fixtures in the room. The lack of proper ventilation led to moisture problems, attracting small mosquitos. Additionally, the carpet near the bathroom was soaked. Despite being moved to another room, similar problems persisted. Breakfast was not great either. Overall, I would rate this hotel a 3 out of 10, with the only positive aspect being the pool. Significant upgrades are necessary to enhance the guest experience and justify the price. My stay was disappointing and did not meet expectations.

It’s a little far away from a lot of attractions in Puerto Rico (my partner and I took an hour-long Uber pretty much every day) and not walkable to a ton. BUT the private beach and pool area is really cool and very big! (We were fans of the jacuzzi!) The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, and the daily happy hour reception is a great time. Clean rooms and great views. If you want a visit to Puerto Rico and a homey resort to stick around, this is a great option!
