Great location but bare bones service
This hotel is located right across from (paying) underground parking but street parking is sometimes available. The area is noisy through midnight, especially if your room faces the main square. Rooms are modern. Service is so-so probably because they are short- staffed. The room phone did not work and was never repaired after notifying the front desk. The mini fridge was not plugged in and it took 2 days to get that fixed. There were hairs on the bed sheets. Prices are decent, reflecting the lack of bells and whistles. No real restaurant.

Clean and comfortable hotel, everything works and is in very good condition. Parking is excellent. The lady at check in was extremely friendly and pleasant. Great location for easy access to the old town

Le parking de l'hôtel, payant (plus de 10€ les 24 heures), ne dispose que de 10 places qui ne peuvent être réservées. Il faudrait le préciser sur le site. Seuls le gel douche et le savon sont fournis dans la salle de bain : ni brosse à dents, ni coton ou autres nécessaires de toilette ne sont fournis, ce qui est surprenant pour un 4 étoiles. Les verres à dents sont de simples gobelets en papier enveloppés dans du plastique!

Merci d'avoir choisi notre hôtel pour votre séjour à Périgueux. Les nouvelles normes RSE sont mises en places sur notre hôtel. (Zéro plastique déchet à usage unique). Pour ce qui est du parking, il est mentionné sur les sites internet un parking public à moins de 50 mètres de l'hôtel ce qui est le cas, nous ne mentionnons pas celui de l'hôtel volontairement car il n'y a que 10 places dont 3 à usage prioritaire handicapées. J'espère que l'accueil, la disponibilité et le professionnalisme de mes collaborateurs ainsi que la qualité de nos chambres vous ont convenu. Au plaisir de vous accueillir de nouveau Bien à vous

Had everything we wanted.
Check in was friendly, efficient and quick. Motorbike was in secure, on-site outdoor parking. Room was clean and a good size. Bathroom was a good size too. Very helpful staff. The main reason we chose hotel was the location. A very short walk from the historical old town with all its squares, bars, restaurants and shops.

Great hotel in the centre of the town, close to the historic centre. Very helpful staff. Lovely large room with everything you need. Even safe parking on site. Brilliant.

Great location but loo seat nearly fell off
The room was small but good. However, the toilet seat moved around when you sat on it. I nearly fell off!! When I told the girls on reception they just smiled at me - no apologies!! Had to wait at reception on arrival for a while as no-one around. Great location though and room very clean.

Overall, what one should expect of any hotel, but often don't get. This hotel was modern, beautifully appointed, clean, roomy and comfortable. The staff was friendly too. We would stay here again if we return to Périgueux.

Very comfortable stay. Plenty of local restaurants, nice walking area. Hotels looks new and well designed. Only problem was the problem of no WiFi for the 1 night we stayed.

Good modern hotel in central Perigueux
Perigueux was well worth a weekend visit, and the hotel gave us easy access to the old town and the Roman museum. It's quite a modern, slightly bland hotel, but it is well placed, with a good car park (about 10 euros per day) and the staff were very professional and friendly. The breakfast area was a bit dark, and our room overlooked the carpark. It good do with bolder interior design and higher spec furniture.

Excellent location with a Park seconds away
Ideal location we were traveling through France perfect stop as traveling with 2 dogs with the park just over the road. Located right in the city but still very quite. Parking is advertised as on site but when we arrived we were directed to a public car park a couple of minutes away was very secure and close by. The electronic lock on our bedroom would not work when we return to our room after an evening in town after about 15 mins of running up and down to reception with replacement key cards the reception had to come up and override the lock. We were informed that someone would be available in about half an hour to come and look at it but as it was after 10pm already and we had traveled through the previous night we declined. In the morning was a bit tricky as one of us had to stay in the room at all times to let the other in. Would stay here again and the town is so lovely worth a visit

Great hotel, great location.
Exactly what you’d expect from a Mercure- well appointed room, good size, nice bathroom and comfortable beds. This hotel happens to be only a short walk to the centre of old town Périgueux so was absolutely ideal for us. If we come back to the area I’d have no qualms to book again.

Good bed and good staff but an antiseptic “you could be anywhere” feel. I wouldn’t stay again unless on a business trip as it lacks any charm but is good at a night’s sleep.

Small room. we had difficulty to open to suitcases at the same time. Nice bathroom. The aircon did not work properly and heated our room to more than 25 degree.

Perfect Location
We have stayed in quite a few Mercure hotels and have always been very impressed. The rooms are always a good size and very comfortable. The TV in the room in this hotel was the biggest that I have ever seen in a hotel bedroom! One of the reasons that we choose Mercure hotels is for the breakfast. We have never stayed in any hotel in France which has such an extensive choice for breakfast and their scrambled egg is the best that I have ever tasted. The hotel is only about a 5 minute walk from the cathedral and old part of Perigueux and so could not be better located. Parking is also available in a secure area at the back of the hotel which cost us an additional 10.50 Euros per night but was well worth it for the convenience. Perigueux is a lovely city with some great restaurants and is well worth a visit.
