I liked the location but people was smoking by the front entrance and there were cigarette butts left all over. They need to empty the can every day.

The room safe broken. It took them 2 day and 3 requests to fix it. Then on the last night I came to my room to find that the house keeping HAD LEFT ROOM DOOR OPEN ALL DAY. I Also found other room doors open. After I approached the management all I got was sorry. We will talk with them. I booked this room so I can get some rest. The doors are extremely loud that in the middle of the night I kept hearing banging all night. Again I was told sorry as they had a wedding... anyway Not staying there again.

Comfort and quality
The Bastion was a quality place with good comfortable beds and kindly service. The location was just a bit off the beaten foot-path, but Dordrecht is a lovely, spread-out but still conveniently arranged city.

Nice stay as expected for the price paid. Small gym does the job but have recently taken items off the dinner menu.

Don’t bother with this place
Not a great place, old and needing redecorated. I had to translate for a Frenchwoman who wanted another yoghurt as the staff didn’t understand her.

Good business hotel near a major road, no issues. Beds were relatively comfortable and the room well equipped. Didn't try the food. Lobby area was very nice.

Nice hotel, lovely staff. They ONLY have twin rooms. Access by foot is not really very easy, you need to get taxis to and from locations in Dordrecht; but reception will book these for you. If you’re on a budget, bear in mind the cost of taxis added to your hotel cost. The old part of Dordrecht is about 45mins walk away and a little confusing. Buses are possible but not really when you want to get back at night.

Good standard hotel. Busy off-highway location, but room was super quiet thanks to double windows. Decent restaurant and breakfast was fine an included cooked to order omelettes. Very friendly staff.

Pleasant stay hotel
Good stay with friendly ambiance ;good breakfast , qualified restaurant n the goulash soup is a must to try...delicious, position of the hotel is good too , near bus stop n hospital. Ideal for business meeting n stay, all staff hotel members are courteous, friendly n helpful when you need it. Thank you

This is a typical commercial traveller's type hotel, minimal facilities, very small rooms and a very basic offering for meals. It was clean and the staff pleasant but served simply as a bed for the night which it did so adequately. There was no plug for the washbasin, no shower gel and the location meant a 10 minute drive to the town centre (although it was well worth it).

A place to sleep
We stayed 4 nights recently. Poor housekeeping is a problem. Room floor dirty, furniture surfaces dusty, soiled towels not replaced even when requested. Carpeted corridor outside room also obviously not cleaned. Room supplies (soaps, shampoos, coffee/tea) not replaced daily. Otherwise the property seems physically up to date, staff helpful when approached and the room rate is cheaper than the average in town. You get what you pay for. It's just a place to stay.

Nice hotel but far from anything.
The hotel is great. Breakfast was a bit samey. Room was clean & tidy & modern. The only real disadvantage is the location of the hotel. Far from anything. But thankfully the bus runs regularly and is only 2 euros & the bus stop is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
