Family room not suitable
Posted Aug 21, 2016 on Hotels
This is the first time I have ever written a review, people only are more passionate about doing so when you have a bad experience. The hotel isn't terrible, but we would consider ever staying at it again. The mattresses on the beds were old and the springs could be felt through the night. The room was not clean enough for my standards, I moved the double bed slightly and there were crisps on the floor from the previous occupants. The bedding was terrible, the bottom sheets were not tightly put on the mattresses and there was an uncomfortable mattress protector under the sheet (no idea why they want to protect such bad quality mattresses anyway! Remaking the bad for my son I pulled the sheet off and between the sheets was a thick long black strand of hair....very poor housekeeping. For a family room, the room was not suitable, it had a sash window that could be opened fully and was very unsafe with young children in the room and no bath was disappointing as most families do use a bath to wash their young toddlers not a shower. The only plus points were the staff were very friendly and the food in the pub restaurant was very nice.
