Pros: Welcoming staff. Traditional and cosy feel. Well cared for. Free parking on site. Enjoyable cooked breakfast. Great sea view from the front of the hotel
Cons: Apart from the creaky floorboards there was little to criticise
Location: Perfect central location. Handy for restaurants and beach

Pros: It's proximity to the beach and its friendly staff.
Cons: Deal with the extractor fan noise, it is unbearable. Don't offer a drinks list and then say the choices are not available. Sort the water pressure.
Location: The pleasure gardens are lovely in the day but not at night. There are plenty of places to eat but not much entertainment wise.
Disheartened with the hotel. Lack of drinks choices, no safe in the room and the shower and water gave out little pressure. The extractor fan noise was horrendous. The staff were on the whole good and the proximity to the beach was great but there was nothing to do in the evening in the hotel. Not a 4 star hotel in my opinion. Other guests commented on how it has gone downhill and that is a shame.

Pros: Quiet, close to beach, excellent service, clean, spacious room, free wifi.
Cons: Add a password to free wifi to help security.
Location: Beach, pier, Oceanarium.
Old fashioned style hotel, but very good. Strong feeling of quality about the place. Staff very helpful and attentive, but not overly so. Only had one meal there - venison excellent, duck slightly substandard piece of meat, but hotel handled very well. Hot water was broken on evening of arrival, but fixed and all working good by morning. Nice and quiet. Very limited and crowded parking at hotel, but we squeezed in and got a spot OK. Right by the sea front and pier, which can be reached without even crossing a road.

Pros: Location is great, and it is a lovely building.
Cons: As noted above, the beds and pillows (which are very important) need to be updated, neither my daughter or I found them very comfortable.
Hotel staff in the restaurant and bar area are wonderful! Found them very helpful and polite. Front desk not always the best service. The beds and pillows could use some updating, not very comfortable.

Hotel has recently been refurbished. Good location right by the pier and the gardens in Bournemouth. Food very good. Only slight criticism is the bathroom, although clean there was nowhere to put toiletries (had to leave them in bags), and very limited space to hang towels. Overall, very nice hotel and I would definitely stay there again.

Old fashioned style hotel (in a good way) with excellent service & good food - just moments from the beach. Highly recommended.
