Refurb required!!Posted Aug 14, 2015 on Hotels
Just wanted a room for one night for myself and 3 nieces. Beds were very uncomfortable, floors creaked everywhere, and the room was very, very hot even with the heating off!!! Promised a sea view, which I suppose in a way we did have, if you stood on the chair to look out the window!!! Had our breakfast on our own in the bar area, as the breakfast room was full!! Found a couple of hairs on the crockery!!! But food was good and plentiful. Good car parking, and close to the town centre are a couple of pluses for this hotel!!! Hotel generally needs a severe upgrade!!

You get what you pay forPosted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: Off street parking, reasonably priced
Cons: Decore needs updating and rooms could be cleaner.
Location: Plenty to do in and around Weymouth. We particularly enjoyed having fish and chips at the harbour, watching the boats glide past.
Stayed here with my wife and teenage daughter for a week in a triple room. You can see that things are old and tired and in need of a bit of a refresh. Unfortunately our room was directly above the bar, so we had loud music thumping through the floor at night - I imagine this would be a major problem for someone with young children. There was plenty of off street parking which was a bonus. The breakfasts were boring but filling.

It is what it is, a place to stay,Posted Aug 2, 2015 on Hotels
Family room great for the price, it is what it is, a good place to stay with two small children, beds were comfortable, not so keen on the blankets on the bed instead of duvets but overall at least it was clean, found it a bit of a draw back not having a bath for the kids, Room was quite large, and seating was good, carpet was a bit old and tired, found thtat it was a bit difficult with the light at the windows, curtains could be a bit more heavier to omit the light . A good breakfast and plenty of it, staff friendly and attentive.

Antiquated hotel, in dire need of updating to bring it into the 21st century. Would never recommend it to anyone or ever go back there again.

Avoid if possiblePosted Jul 2, 2015 on Hotels
Nice staff but a terrible place. There was no hot water upon arrival. The wifi did not work and the room was very hot - no fan or air conditioner. The noise from the street was loud and the morning sun woke us all at 5am as the curtains were thin. Great location. Average breakfast. Avoid if possible.
