Welcoming hotel in central locationPosted Oct 30, 2015
Pros: Friendly greeting at reception. Decent room and bathroom. Very good breakfast served efficiently. Good black pudding. Characterful building.
Cons: Not much. Room a bit chilly and bath takes a long time to fill.
Location: Four minutes walk to one of England's best piers. Walk along prom for miles in both directions. Cliff gardens.
The Royal Exeter is a distinctive hotel in a very central location close to the beach, pier and gardens. I was upgraded from single to double with a sea view and bath. All the staff I encountered were pleasant, helpful and positive. Overall a good experience.

Well placed for the Bournemouth marathonPosted Oct 12, 2015
Pros: Breakfast was amazing and very good value. The staff there were very friendly.
Location: Brilliantly situated for touring Bournemouth
Room was freezing cold and small. The bathroom was even colder than the room. The noise when you had the light on in the bathroom (air con) was diabolical. The guy on reception eas nice and did bring us two heaters and agreed the room was freezing. The tv was problematic, but staff got it fixed both times quickly.

Perfectly located for BICPosted Oct 12, 2015
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Room decor was a bit tired, could do with a freshen up.
Location: Great hotel choice if attending an event at the Bournemouth International Centre, also within walking distance to shopping centre
Warm welcome from reception staff on arrival. Perfectly located for our visit to BIC for a one night stopover.

Lovely hotel in the best location for BICPosted Aug 28, 2015 on Hotels
Fab location for us as we watched the Bournemouth Airfest and Michael McIntyre in the BIC. Hotel was very good. Very welcoming and staff friendly with a smile. There was some music playing late at night and could hear the bass and some lyrics from the room but if the windows were double glazed you wouldn't hear it . It didn't bother us but might for older couples. We are both Vegetarians and asked when booking for a Vegetarian breakfast and the breakfast was good but would have been nice to have veggie sausages. We will most definitely be back again certainly when we book for future shows at the BIC.

lovely central placePosted Aug 26, 2015 on Hotels
Lovely place. Little noisy early hours due to having a club/bar attached but only from people when leaving not the place itself. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on it other than at an extra tenner a head its far too pricey. Room lovely condition, clean towels every day. Would recommend.

We took our grandchildren to stay for the air show. Everything was excellent. Special mention for staff in restaurant.
